So far, detention has been fairly low on fears, and You are me, I am you" is totally devoid of them. Since the episode is dedicated to exploring the similarities between Yun-hsiang and Jui-hsin, this is an intentional decision, as the latter has taken to stand around behind the former and happily emoting every time anything happens to her. This begins with the poetry club.

You can note that Shen Hua proposed that Yun-hsiang pursue poetry, and he is delighted to see her at the club, even though he is not privy to the vengeful spectre behind her or to the flashes of her history that the audience treats as a connection between her and Yun-hsiang.

Even Wen-liang can't see the ghoul, which poses some very uncomfortable questions about the efficiency of his family business, and that's before he finds one of the talismans left covered in blood at the Hancui House.

Wen-liang is kept away from Yun-hsiang for most of “You are me, I am you”, which leads him to lament to his Uncle Wei about how he doesn’t understand girls (don’t worry, mate. None of us do.) Wei tends to Jui-hsin’s grave and reveals she was a senior while he was at high school, information that Wen-liang will be reminded of later.

In the meantime, Shen Hua defends the students from Pai, and in a conversation with his father, we learn he has plans for serious reform and doesn’t believe the place can prosper with its old-fashioned, militaristic way of doing things. The Principal, though, isn’t particularly interested in hearing this — he’s much more concerned with marrying Shen Hua into an influential political family.

As it turns out, Yun-hsiang, though with inspiration from Jui-hsin, writes excellent poetry, and Shen Hua loves her literary virtuosity. In a flashback, we learn that Jui-hsin was similarly gifted and that her similarly young and understanding teacher also took a bit of a shine to her.

You can see where this is going. When Yun-hsiang’s poem makes the finals in a literary contest, Shen Hua takes her to a public event promoting it, where they get on well and he gifts her with some fancy earrings. The parallels are even clearer here, and just to ram the metaphor home, Yun-hsiang accidentally writes her name as Jui-hsin on a school test paper before quickly scribbling it out.

But Wen-liang sees the name and recognises it from the headstone. He asks his Uncle Wei about Jui-hsin and researches her, finding all images of her face scratched out, and identifying that she’s wearing the jade pendant that Yun-hsiang currently sports. He immediately determines she’s possessed and tries to help her, which leads to Yun-hsiang asking Jui-hsi outright what her real intentions are. “You are me, I am you” ends before we get to find out, but it isn’t difficult to imagine.
