A new twist has emerged to the agitations in the Niger Delta as the Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) militants unveiled the currency they intend to use in their new country when they break away from Nigeria.


The avengers said they will stop at nothing until a sovereign state of the Niger Delta is actualized. The militants said, “Much has been done to the region’s ecosystem resulting from the operations of oil companies in the region and that every hue and cry raised so far to draw the government’s attention to their predicament has fallen on deaf ears.”

The Niger Delta oil-rich region of Nigeria has been showing its grievances in many ways to the Federal Government and just recently, a new militant group emerged from the region with the sole purpose of disrupting the flow and exploration of oil from the region.
