It was indeed a black Saturday in the state of Osun yesterday when the protesters put the whole state capital in panic and everybody ran for their dear lives after the protest turned violent when assassination attempt was made on the state governor who has been away for state assignment since last week.

#ENDSARSNOW protesters who have gathered as usual at Oke fia for the day activities.

The governor identified with the protesting youths and walked with them from Oke fia Osogbo to Olaiya where he eventually addressed them and appealed to them to remain calm as all their demands shall be looked in to.

The event turned violent when the protesters demanded explanation from Mr governor about those who they alleged attacked them two days ago where Asiri Eniba was fingered, but the governor insisted the commissioner of police is the right person to respond to that and he will definitely do something about it.

This did not go down well with the protesters and they started shouting on Mr governor and began throwing stones at the Mr governor convoy.

They actually made attempt on Mr governor's life by hitting his official car with dangerous weapons like cutlasses and axes before the driver zoomed off the scene.

Few minutes later because of the panic already created in the minds of the people of the state, especially Osogbo the state capital, everyone was running for their dear lives and people of Orisunmibare/Post office quickly closed their shops and left the place in panic.

Unfortunately many of them forgot to put off their garget the time they were leaving the place because there was no power supply as at the time they left their shops in panic, and when the power returned, there was electric sparked and the whole places went off in flames.

Some casualties actually recorded during the crisis where two lives were lost, one of accident and the other one of stray bullet.

Of all the casualties recorded, there is no one that could be liked to Mr governor because it did not happened at the scene where Mr governor addressed the protesters except the one that was hit by a moving vehicle while on his Okada.

The other victim that was killed was at Oke Ayepe about 10 kilometers away from Olaiya where the governor addressed the protesters.

I, personally have being monitoring the protest since it started last week and I have being reporting the activities of these protesters which I have noticed had been hijacked and whenever I write about it,some irredeemably stupid people keep attacking my personality for saying the obvious.

This is no longer peaceful protest but it has metaphorsised to violent protest with Political undertone.

All governor Adegboyega Oyetola's billboards destroyed and vandalized, Osun mall looted so,are we now saying this is normal protest? We are watching the way other states did theirs without attacking anyone but peacefully organized.

May God take control of every situations in my dear state of Osun and Nigeria at large.
