 Eminem has surprised fans by announced his new album today titled The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grace). The trailer was released shortly after the rap star made an appearance during the NFL draft which is quite an interesting watch. “Through his complex and oft-criticized, tongue-twisting rhymes, the anti-hero known as Slim Shady has had no shortage of enemies,” a reporter says. “The same rude lyrics and controversial antics may have ultimately led to his demise. Join me as we recreate the events that led to the murder of Slim Shady.” Em’s longtime friend and collaborator 50 Cent also makes an appearance in the clip. “He’s not a friend, he’s a psychopath,” he says. The new album is due out this Summer and will serve as the follow-up to 2020’s Music to Be Murdered By which was a commercial success and admired by fans worldwide.

 The Osun State Government has informed the general public that submission of entries for the state's logo has come to an end. The State Government has also named a panel of judges to review the entries and nominate the first top three from the over hundred submissions. The panel includes veteran broadcaster, Olusola Ajala; brand specialist, Dayo Oderinu; senior bureaucrat, Moshood Suleiman; Segun Yedupe ; and ace graphic artist, Kazeem Olalekan. The next step is a review of all entries by the panel of judges, after which the best three designs will be unveiled by His Excellency, Governor Ademola Adeleke, on the 30th of April, 2024. The review of the accepted entries will begin tomorrow, 27th of April, 2024, and a decision on the best logo will be made prior to the 30th of April, 2024. As a Government, we are deeply impressed by the incredible talents demonstrated by every participant. The competition has once again proven the creativity and the abundance of talents possessed by Osun indigenes, whether at home or away. While the competition lasted, participants showed exceptional efforts as reflected in the thousands of entries recorded, and we sincerely appreciate them joining us in the journey to defining our identity not just for the present but for the future.

 Manchester United forward, Marcus Rashford, has said the criticism he has received so far this season is “abuse.” Rashford has scored only eight eight times in 40 appearances this campaign. It has led to the 26-year-old facing some fire from fans and pundits. Rashford, replying to a post on X, formerly Twitter, which claimed the way he has been treated is “absolutely disgusting” and “cruel”, said the level of criticism has become too much. He wrote: “It is abuse and has been for months. Enough is enough.” Rashford, who hit 30 goals in all competitions last season, was dropped to the bench by manager Erik ten Hag for two matches following a poor performance in United’s 1-0 defeat at Newcastle in December while also having his off-field behaviour criticised by the Dutch manager.

 Quavo Releases Chris Brown Diss Track ‘Over Hoes & Bitches’: Listen. Quavo did not hold back on any feelings he had towards rapper Chris Brown on his latest track, ‘Over Hoes & Bitches’. In a fiery response to some dirty dissing by Chris Brown, the Migos member clapped back with bars about his violence towards Rihanna and how Frank Ocean had him beat in an altercation. For the artwork, Quavo chose to proceed with an edited image of Chris Brown himself, choking a woman as another seems to hold him back. Except in this particular edit, it is Quavo at Brown’s neck. The rapper also warned Brown against ever bringing up Takeoff’s name up again, alluding to Brown’s bar about how Quavo should have died instead of him.  Governor Adeleke Hosts Nigeria's First Lady, Commends her Passion for Public Service. Governor Ademola Adeleke today hosted the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu to a rousing welcome for the launching of Alternative High Schools for Girls, commending the First Lady's years of dedicated public service. Addressing the dignitaries at the turning of sod at Oke Dio, Ayepe, Osogbo, Governor Adeleke affirmed his happiness hosting “a woman of virtue, an Amazon who is a political pillar of our dear President, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu. “Your antecedents and your passion for public service are known to some of us. We have worked with you at close quarters and I can confirm that you are one of the best of sisterhood in the country. “As your colleague in the Senate In those days, I can affirm your deep love for Nigeria, your commitment to national human development and your particular interest in the welfare of under-privilegded Nigerians. I am therefore not surprised when you assumed office and you unveiled several initiatives in support of girl children and the poor. “In your passion for the growth of the nation, you are also known for focusing on fairness and justice. For us in Osun State, we are here today because we are a beneficiary of your sense of justice. During the raffle for the citing of this school you picked Osun, you did not shift the goal post. We commend you for granting Osun this rare opportunity of hosting this very important school”, the Governor noted. While assuring the First Lady that his administration will follow up and provide needed support to ensure a robust operation upon completion of the school, Senator Adeleke assured that his administration is also committed to supporting girl child education. “We have introduced a series of programmes which strengthen the capacity of families to provide basic needs. Hence, we emphasize workers' welfare as a critical first line item in our five point agenda. “We also focus on stopping the crisis of sexual violence against women. To that end, Osun is the first state to implement the resolution of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum on Action Against sexual violence. We have met the Ministry of Women Affairs and resolved to set up mobile courts to try domestic sexual violence matters. Additionally, we are compiling a list of unfairly jailed girls and women to get them released. This is in addition to an agenda of empowering the womenfolk through the Cooperative lawn scheme. “Osun State is undergoing total transformation with women at the heart of our agenda. We assure you of our support for the Renewed Hope Agenda, especially our deep partnership to ensure the success of federal policies for a better Nigeria. We appreciate current policies of the Federal Government, and we are daily interfacing with federal agencies for successful outcomes”, the state Governor posited. The First Lady of Nigeria in her address commended the warm reception accorded her by government and people of Osun state even as she narrated her decade long passion for special schools for young girls, restating her committment to ensure full implementation of the project across the country. The First Lady who was full of praise for the First Lady of Osun State, Mrs Titilola Adeleke said the Alternative High Schools for Girls was her response to the yawning gap in girls education, decrying the high number of out of school children in the country. Senator Tinubu who earlier met traditional rulers led by Ooni of Ife, HRM, Enitan Ogunwusi, said Osun is selected for the girls’ school and adopted with full expectation that the state government will expand the model and deepen girl child education in the state. The Executive Secretary of Universal Basic Education, Dr Ahmed Bobboi in his speech hailed the contributions of the Adeleke administration to the growth and development of universal basic education in the state. According to him, the administration's records enhances the confidence of UBEC and the Office of the First Lady that the new school will realise its targets and even surpass it. The First Lady was accompanied by eleven states’ first ladies, the wife of the Vice President, the wife of the Senate President, the wife of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the Wife of the Chief of Staff to Mr President and other top women leaders from across the country.

 Six suspects engaging in crimes ranging from “one chance” robbery, unlawful possession and trafficking of suspected cocaine, weed (“Ghana Loud”), theft of a motor vehicle battery, a tricycle (Keke), and a church organ keyboard, have been arrested by the Enugu State Police Command. This was made known in a statement by the state Police Public Relations Officer, Daniel Ndukwe, on its X handle on Monday. The statement read in part, “Police operatives serving in different divisions of the Enugu State Police Command have arrested a total of six male suspects for the offences of “one chance” robbery, unlawful possession and peddling of suspected cocaine, stealing of a motor vehicle battery, a tricycle (Keke), and a church organ keyboard. “Two tricycles, one motor vehicle battery, one organ keyboard, wraps of substances suspected to be cocaine, and quantities of weeds suspected to be “Ghana Loud” were recovered from the suspects. “Accordingly, police operatives serving in the Independence Layout Police Division of the Command, working with law-abiding citizens, on April 18, 2024, around 10am., arrested one Edeh Chibuike “m”, aged 44, and recovered a yello-coloured Bajaj tricycle with registration number NSK 218 QA. “The suspect and his cohorts who escaped, operating in the recovered tricycle, are alleged to have robbed their female victim and passenger of her iPhone and Bank’s ATM Card at Nwakanwa Street, Independence Layout, Enugu. The suspect and gang members were given a hot chase by law-abiding citizens, which caused their keke to skid off the road into a fence, leading to his arrest while others escaped. The suspect confessed to the crime, stating that his criminal gang has been in the business of “one chance” robbery and fraud on unsuspecting victims within the Enugu metropolis.” The PPRO added that the same operatives, on April 17, 2024, around 4 p.m., arrested one Supuruchukwu Udeozor “m” aged 20, of Power-line near New Artisan, Enugu, and recovered a suspected stolen blue-coloured tricycle (keke) with number plate UWN 132 VK and feet No. EBS/TRO 1555.”
