The Cubot R15 Pro is the advanced version of the Cubot R15 smartphone. It’s in the same budget category with its siblings. The smartphone is one of the best Chinese budget Android phone you should consider. It has a nice and decent body design parading a full-screen display size with a waterdrop notch and also a fingerprint scanner for security.

Design And Display

The Cubot R15 Pro is a nice and beautiful device. Although it’s still built with all plastic, however, the handset offers a premium-looking body. On the panel, it’s blessed with a combo camera sitting vertically on the top left corner alongside an LED flash.

The fingerprint scanner is placed in its usual position. The handset has body dimensions of 157.8 mm x 77 mm x 9.1 mm and weight 173 grams. As you can see, the device is not that heavy.

Anyone can handle it in a single hand. Shifting to the front, the Cubot R15 Pro has small bezel both on the bottom and top of the screen. It still has a large display screen size of 6.26 inches HD+ with IPS capacitive touchscreen.

The screen has a resolution of 1520 x 720 Pixels and 269 PPI density with display protection of 2.5D curved glass and it manages to reach 80.5% screen to body ratio.

Camera

As for the camera, the Cubot R15 Pro has an impressive combo rear camera of 16 MP with an additional 2 MP. As you can see, the primary camera has been upgraded as well.

The dual camera is paired with an LED flash for low background shooting and other internal features that will ensure good photos.

It can also shoot 1080p video resolution at 30 seconds per frame. For selfies, it has a front camera of 13 Megapixels which is also for video calling.

Hardware And Software

Behind the wheel is a MediaTek Helio A22 (MT6761) chipset based on 12nm process technology. It has a Quad-core processor and PowerVR GE8300 for graphics.

On paper, the Cubot R15 Pro has an internal storage of 32GB which is paired with 3GB RAM which will be able to handle sensitive 3D games and also multitasking.
You should not expect that much though from the handset.

The memory on the inside is still expandable via micro SD card but not beyond 64GB. Booting the phone is an Android 9.0 Pie operating system out of the box with the device customized user interface on top.

Battery And Network

The Cubot R15 Pro has a removable battery capacity of 3000 mAh. The juicer does not have support for fast charging technology, instead, it promises to last up to 8 hours of talk time under a single charge.

The handset has a dual SIM slot with 4G LTE Network for fast browsing and downloads. Other connectivity options on the inside include WiFi for a wireless connection, Bluetooth, FM radio, A-GPS for navigation and Micro USB for file transfer and charging.
