Cubot Quest goes beyond the standard in this age where smartphones have become very fragile. The Cubot Quest is a chassis that is very tough. It's a smartphone designed to get a beating. It is designed to withstand a lot of harsh conditions.

It is the type of smartphone that you would use comfortably without an armored case, as well as other protective measures that are used on fragile smartphones. We're running through the Cubot Quest specs and Price in this article.

The Design and Display
The Cubot Quest is a rugged mobile phone designed for enthusiasts that desire a smartphone that doesn’t need to be given fragile treatment. It does away with most of the features that give a lot of smartphones an appealing look. Cubot Quest was built to be tough. It was built with a mixture of Aluminium and glass. There is Corning Gorilla Glass 5 upfront, while the other part of the smartphone is covered in Aluminium and polycarbonate.

The smartphone is rated IP68. This means that it is water and dustproof. To further secure the smartphone, the USB-C port comes with a covering, that can be used to cove the USB-C port when not in use.

The rear of this device is home to a dual-camera setup, a camera flash, a square-shaped fingerprint sensor, CUBOT logo, and a speaker grille. You would also find an illustration that illustrates the all-weather conditions on the rear of this device.

Getting a front view of this device, we are presented with a setup that looks very familiar to what we had on the first Asus ROG Phone and the Asus ROG Phone 2.

Remember when I mentioned something about the Cubot Quest ditching some of the features that make other smartphones very appealing to look at? well, that fact is very evident in the front of this mobile phone.

The display on the Cubot Quest is carefully guarded by humongous bezels on the top and on the bottom. comparing these bezels to that of smartphones recently released, you discover that these bezels are really big.

Even most low-cost phones have begun featuring bezels way smaller than what we have on the Quest.

The display on the Cubot Quest is a 6.55 inch IPS LCD display, with a screen resolution of 720 x 1440 and a screen density of 293 ppi. This display is protected by Gorilla Glass 5.

Color options for the smartphone are quite limited. You only have two options to select from. The Cubot Quest comes in all black and black mixed with red.

The Cameras
Except your previous smartphone had camera hardware lower than what we have on the Cubot Quest, there isn’t anything to wowed about here. According to world standard, it features low-end camera hardware.

The Cubot Quest houses a dual-camera system on the rear. This dual-camera system is home to a 12MP primary camera with an aperture of F/1.8 and a 2MP secondary camera.

This set of rear cameras lets you take photos of panorama photos, as well as take photos in HDR. You can record 1080p videos with frame rates as high as 30FPS.

For selfies, the Cubot Quest makes use of an 8MP front-facing camera with an aperture of F/2.2. This camera is capable of shooting 720p videos at 30FPS.

Hardware and Software
The hardware specs of the Cubot Quest indicates that it is a low-end device. The sophisticated look may have sold it has a potential specs boost. If you had that in mind, I advise you scratch if now.

It packs in specs that are certainly going to let you perform a lot of tasks without lag, as long you stay away from the super intense stuff. The smartphone was built to handle basic tasks, allow for medium gaming and lots more.

The Cubot Quest features a 12nm Octa-core Mediatek Helio P22 processor, with processing speeds ranging from 2.0GHz on max and 1.5 on idle.

It also features PowerVR GE8320 GPU, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, support for Micro-SD expansion up to 256GB and a 4000mAh battery.

On the software side, the Cubot Quest runs a very clean user interface on top of the Android 9 (Pie) operating system. As at the time this article was written, there was no word on the Android version upgrade.

Connectivity
The Cubot Quest features a 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB Type C (USB 3.1) port, Dual-Band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC.

The smartphone supports 4G internet connectivity. Users in Nigeria will be able to use the 4G network from the top brands in Nigeria when using this phone. The Cubot Quest supports MTN, Airtel 9Mobile, and GLO 4G network.

Cubot Quest Price and Availability
The Cubot Quest price in Nigeria is around 72,600 Naira, which is about 200 USD.

The Cubot Quest is currently available for purchase in retail stores near you, as well as online retail stores that ship to your region.
