Review: American Horror Story season 9
on: July 13, 2019, 01:34:59 AM

American Horror Story season 9 will get underway on 18th September in the US. We'll bring you FOX UK's air date when we get it. We're going back to the 80s in season 9 for a slasheriffic visit to the ever-popular era of the horror genre. The title of season 9 will be American Horror Story: 1984, as revealed in this first teaser trailer

At first glance it would seem to be an oversight that American Horror Story season 8's subtitle would be "Apocalypse" since the series still has at least two more seasons to go.

But that's the beauty of this whole thing! American Horror Story is an anthology series, with a cast and storyline that resets each iteration. It's a wonder that each season doesn't end with the utter destruction of humanity in the first.

Emma Roberts will be back, alongside new addition Gus Kenworthy as Roberts' boyfriend in season 9. It's been confirmed that Evan Peters is sitting the season out, but hopes to be back for season 10. Billy Eichner is also MIA from season 9 and Sarah Paulson will not have a significant role in this season either, it's been revealed.

Also in the cast are Billie Lourd, Cody Fern, John Carroll Lynch, Leslie Grossman, and Matthew Morrison as well as fresh AHS meat Angelica Ross (Pose) and DeRon Horton (Dear White People),
