*Spoilers for Extraction 2 follow* The plot of Extraction 3 is still unknown, but the way forward is certain thanks to the conclusion of the first film.

In the sequel, Tyler Rake attempts an impossible prison break to rescue his ex-wife's sister and her two children from Davit Radiani, the Georgian mob boss.

Although the extraction goes well, Davit's death angers his brother Zurab, who won't stop until Tyler Rake is killed. The mercenary kills the villain after a dramatic chase in Vienna, but the Austrian police storm the scene and arrest him and his partner Nik.

The unnamed character played by Idris Elba reappears at the movie's conclusion to offer them the following: they will be set free from jail on the off chance that they finish a work for his chief. Who that might be and what kind of mission they are about to take on are still unknown.

To honor the saga's title, we would learn more about this new job in Extraction 3, which will likely involve a very difficult extraction that will test Rake's capabilities as a soldier. It's also a fresh chance to get him and Nik closer together to see if they have romantic potential.

We also anticipate meeting this new, enigmatic boss and learning whether he will be an ally or a new foe.
