Author Topic: Traffic accident in heavy rain in Pakistan leaves 13 dead  (Read 1707 times)

A truck overturned and fell onto a passenger van in eastern Pakistan all through heavy rain, killing thirteen people and injuring 5, officers stated Sunday.

Riasat Ali, a senior administrative officer in Liaquat Pur in Punab province, said the incident passed off past due Saturday close to the metropolis of Feroza in heavy rain. He said a truck loaded with sacks of sugar overturned and fell at the van.

Ali said the van was smashed below the heavy load and rescue workers could best get five passengers out alive who had been significantly injured. He said the useless have been taken out after workers reduce through the twisted wreckage. The truck's motive force turned into no longer among the fatalities.

Negative avenue conditions, lack of safety awareness and brush aside for site visitors rules often motive deadly visitors accidents in Pakistan.
