MultiChoice Nigeria has been controlled from affecting its ongoing climb in DSTV subscription by the Federal High Court sitting in Maitama, Abuja.
The organization had in July expanded the subscription rate for the DSTV Premium bundle from N14,700 to N15,800, Compact Plus from N9,900 to N10,650, Compact from N6,300 to N6,800, Family from N3,800 to N4,000, and Access from N1,900 to N2,000.
The execution of the rates initiated on August 1.
Be that as it may, controlling for a situation testing the climb in subscription on Monday, Justice Nnamdi Dimgba allowed an order limiting MultiChoice from actualizing the new rates.
Additionally, the court limited the organization from any lead fit for meddling with the administrative procedure of the Consumer Protection Council (CPC).
The requests were allowed in Suit No: FHC/ABJ/CS/894/2018 Federal Republic of Nigeria v. MultiChoice Nigeria Limited.
Speaking to the Federal Government were Babatunde Irukera Esq, Abimbola Ojenike, Eme David-Ojugo, Moray Adebayo, Teniola Medupin and Florence Abebe.
