A more youthful Alina snatches Mal, and they stow away from their instructor — Mal asks Alina, "couldn't you need to say whether you are Grisha?" In the present, Mal is given clinical consideration. Alina awakens, and Zoya sends her to General Kirigan's tent. The initial scenes tell the crowd that Alina was rarely tried.

Alina is tried

General Kirigan asks Alina, "what right?". She demands she's a mapmaker. Zoya depicts how she saw a "singing light" from Alina that battled off the Volcra. Kirigan needs to test her as he might suspect she's the Sun Summoner. Mal discovers that Kirigan is going to test Alina and hurries to the tent. At the point when Kirigan tests her, golden blazing energy separates them and exudes through the tent. That is the thing that every one of the special pictures are about.

General Kirigan needs Alina to go to Little Palace right away. Alina needs to see Mal and attempts to stand up to. She's tossed into a carriage, and Mal sees her head out. He pursues her. Zoya reveals to Mal that Alina will be in acceptable hands. In the carriage, she's informed that Ravka has sat tight for her — she's a fantasy, and they feel that if the legend is valid, they will not need high dividers to secure them any longer.

Abruptly, the vehicle escort is assaulted. One of the aggressors snatch Alina and take her from the carriage, yet she is saved by General Kirigan, who utilizes noteworthy forces. She rides riding a horse with him. Kirigan reveals to her they were assaulted by the Drüskelle, tip top individuals from the Fjerdan military prepared to penetrate profound behind their lines and execute and grab Grisha. Alina is more worried about how his forces cut them into equal parts. Kirigan clarifies "The Cut" is just something a Summoner can do. Kirigan accepts the adversary is searching for her since she's the first of their sort — there's a conviction she could obliterate the Fold.

Alina doesn't need the duty and is frightened of her forces. She concedes she stowed away from the tests as a kid. Kirigan considers her a Grisha and states that she isn't the only one.

Then, Mal finds out about the snare on Alina's escort and needs to accumulate his kin to help her. He's informed that she's not worth the danger until the King advises them so.

Kaz and Inej's needs conflict

Inej is advised to execute a man by Tante Heleen promptly, and on the off chance that she does it, their business will end. She's clearly undermined by this lady. Inej requests that Jesper do it for her. This man turns out to be the Conductor, and Inej thinks executing him will be her course to opportunity.

Kaz understands that the Conductor will be in a tough situation. At the point when Kaz gets to the Conductor, Inej is prepared to murder him, and he uncovers her supervisor Tante Heleen did this to disrupt their main goal. He discloses to her that the Conductor is worth way more alive. Kaz requests that the Conductor get them to the Little Palace.

The ending

Kirigan and Alina make it to the Little Palace. He guarantees her she is protected. She's taken to her suite, and she separates and cries.

Kaz reveals to Tante Heelen that he's taken Inej with him and when he returns, he'll settle with her — he gives her guarantee meanwhile — The Crow Club that he claims. They settle on it. As the episode finishes, Alina and Mal miss each other significantly. They are not used to being separated.
