The opening - Episode 2 opens up with the reality TV format. They are asking the participants about initiating sex; from one-night stands to celibacy. The characters talk about their experiences. Choi Kyeong-jun is nervous about having sex with his date Suh Rin-i, and when the time comes, he is unsure how to undress her; there’s a lot of nervous energy, but eventually, the couple finds a way.

Driving lesson
And Episode 2 gets to the main story — a flashback from 1 year ago. Park Jae-won wakes up in his camper van, and he’s not sure where he is. He was sure he slept near the beach. As he opens the blinds, Yoon Seon-a is making weird faces in the window. It’s time for Jae-won’s driving test, so Yoo Seon-a gives him a lesson. She thinks he has a good chance of passing. The pair keep on teasing and flirting with each other.

Surfing lesson
When she learns that Jae-won surfs often, Yoon Seon-a tells him that she wants to try it even though she’s slightly hesitant about the water. Jae-won keeps on asking her questions; he wants to know more about her. He’s falling deep quickly — it’s etched on his face.

Jae-won takes Yoon Seon-a out in the water and keeps her calm as he teaches her how to handle the waves. Afterward, Yoon Seon-a explains she was thrilled by the experience when she rode a wave. She wants to do it again. Jae-won touches Yoon Seon-a’s lips, and there’s a strong intimacy between them as she kisses his fingers.

First kiss
They kiss for the first time and the episode makes a point of the wind and sea rushing around them; surfboards falling over distracts their kissing. The pair refocus and kiss again after some brief laughing which leads to sex. Jae-won narrates how he took in her mysterious smile and how he was confident that she’d love him back.

The ending
Back to the present and Jae-won explains how that night meant a lot to him. Yoon Seon-a explains how it was a one-time thing. In a flashback, Jae-won wakes up, and Yoon Seon-a isn’t there. When he leaves the camper van, he sees her meeting up with another man on the beach. In the present, he explains how he felt tricked. Yoon Seon-a doesn’t get the big deal as it was one night. Jae-won looks in the camera and calls her a terrible woman.

Yoon Seon-a tells the viewers that she did what she did because Jae-won knew she was fake. She then explains that the audience knows her real name — Lee Eun-o. I’m on Yoon Seon-a’s side; it was a one-time thing, and they knew each other for a week — let’s calm down!

Lovestruck in the City episode 2 shows the reasons for Jae-won’s grievances as it delves into the moment he felt he was tricked.
