The Nasarawa State University, Keffi, on Friday matriculated 5,210 students into seven faculties for the 2015/2016 academic session.

The Vice Chancellor, Professor Muhammadu Mainoma, who was represented at the occasion by the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Associate Professor Sa’adatu Liman, warned those belonging to cult groups to denounce membership of such associations because any student caught would not only be expelled but would also be handed over to the police for prosecution.

He also called on the new students to desist from all forms of criminality such as stealing, cheating, raping, forgery and examination malpractice.

He said, “I admonish all students to obey the rules and regulations and follow the procedure accordingly. I assure you that if you do this, your days in the institution shall be joyful and fruitful.

“It is our solemn resolve to train and produce men and women equipped with good education, strong character and integrity, men and women who with the fear of God can stand the test of time and be role models. We want to mould children into individuals who parents would be proud of.”
