Geidam, the headquarters of Geidam Local Government Council in Yobe State, 185 kilometers away from Damaturu on Wednesday January 6 came under attack by suspected Boko Haram terrorists.

Channels Television reported that the insurgents succeeded in attacking the community at 5 pm on Wednesday evening.

A resident of the area, Idris Garba said although fighter jets have arrived, the suspected insurgents remained inside the town shooting sporadically.
