Idris said the Thursday deployment of the unit in Arepo/Ibafo was to ensure that normalcy returned to the areas in record time. This was contained in a statement on Friday in Abuja by the Force Public Relations Officer, Don Awunah. It quoted the IG as saying that the Nigeria Police Force will not watch any criminal group or groups take the law into their hands, adding that he authorised the team to deal decisively with anyone who constituted himself an enemy of the state.
