The Director, Bureau of Communication & Strategy, Office of the Governor, Semiu Okanlawon said the mourning period commenced from yesterday. During the period, all flags are to fly half-mast. The Speaker, Najeem Salaam, gave the directive at House of Assembly. A statement by the Chairman, House Committee on Information and Strategy, Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, said the flag would be flown half-staff in the Assembly during the period and legislative activities would be suspended.
