Bunk dropped this hint in Damaturu while maintaining that ensuring the unity of the country was a task that could not be compromised under the APC government. His words, “For too long, Nigerians had been manipulated through primordial sentiments by poor and weak leadership at the expense of unity, development and improved welfare for the citizenry. “This administration, under President Buhari, will always promote national unity and ensure the protection of lives and property of every citizen in every part of the country. “President Buhari is honestly and courageously fighting corruption in Nigeria, no matter who is involved, and this has paid off both at home and at the international scene. “The APC administration is determined to change the gross maladministration and weak commitment suffered by the nation in the past,” he assured. He further insisted that the anti-graft war would grow stronger in order to promote accountability, transparency and confidence in governance. He noted that the subsidy removal was a bold step towards greater achievements for the country, adding that it has made the product available nationwide and enhanced competition among marketers. He said dialogue was the only way suitable resolving disagreement with government, instead of resorting to industrial actions and violence. “We have a listening President, a considerate administration and a people-oriented national ruling party that will always look at issues based on national interest,” Buni said.
