EDE MUSLIM COUNCIL ENDORSES GOVERNOR ADEMOLA ADELEKE FOR SECOND TERM, CALLS FOR PEACEFUL ELECTION

AS-SALAMU ALAEKUM WA RAHMATULLAHI WA BARAKATUH,

The General Assembly of All Muslims in Edeland (Ede Muslim Council), under the leadership of Dr. Musibaudeen Idris and the entire Executive Body, has formally endorsed the re-election of the Governor of Osun State, Senator Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke, for a second term in office.

This resolution was reached during the General Meeting of the Council held at the Ede Central Mosque on Thursday, 14th July, 2026.

The Council, after careful and holistic review of the Governor’s achievements in good governance, infrastructural development, education advancement, healthcare , and religious harmony, is convinced that continuity will further advance peace and development across Osun State.

Therefore, Ede Muslim Council calls on all Muslims in Edeland to come out en masse to support Governor Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke in the forthcoming Governorship Election scheduled for Saturday, 15th August, 2026.

We pray that Allah (SWT) will grant Governor Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke resounding victory in the election, so that his good and people-oriented administration can continue to progress across the length and breadth of Osun State.

Furthermore, the Council uses the opportunity to appeal to all the people of Osun State to embrace peace before, during, and after the election of Saturday, 15th August, 2026.
