A fatal accident occurred on Friday afternoon at Ikirun, headquarters of Ifelodun Local Government Area of Osun State.

The accident, eyewitnesses stated, occurred at Emiloju area of the ancient town.

They revealed that a fuel tanker lost control and rammed into a crowded area and in the aftermath many people died and others critically injured.

As at the time of filing this report, the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) has not reacted to the accident.
