Today is Eid-el-Kabir, an Islamic festival devoted
to the celebration of the spirit of sacrifice and
Allah’s unfailing benevolence to mankind. The feast commemorates Prophet Ibrahim’s
willingness to sacrifice his son, Ismael, and
Allah’s provision of a sacrificial ram in his place.
The feast is a celebration of unqualified love and
total obedience to Allah.
