Governor Adeleke receives a solidarity visit from Osun Workers at the Abere Governor's Office.

Today, the public service unions in Osun State proclaimed that Governor Adeleke's tenure beyond 2026 is guaranteed. The unions also confirmed that Governor Ademola Adeleke will receive their complete support for a second term in office.

Addressing tons of workers who attended the rally led by the Head of Service, Ayanleye Aina, the State Chairman of the Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC, Abayomi Arapasopo, and the State Chairman of the Trade Union Congress, TUC, Bimbo Fasasi, informed the Governor and workers that the state workforce has been overwhelmed by the Governor's passionate support for the workers' welfare since he took office.

Arapasopo stated that the Governor's performance on workers' welfare is unparalleled and unmatched in the history of Osun governance, saying that "Mr Governor has produced historic achievements that have touched the heartland minds of all Osun workers.

Thus, we are gathered here to express our gratitude to Mr. Governor for his exceptional concern and assistance for employees.

"We are pleased with your effort, not just for employees but for all Osun State sectors.

Your efforts are evident everywhere. We will formally support you for a second term as an effective and responsive governor. The NLC chairman said, "We stand firmly at your back and by your side for the re-election."

As a pro-labor leader, Governor Adeleke enjoys the steadfast support of the unions, according to TUC State Chairman Fasasi, who echoed the NLC Chairman stated, "Governor Adeleke is our man now and beyond 2026. We will always be appreciative of your affection for employees. We're with you. You have workers with you. You are accompanied by coworkers and their families. The TUC Chairman declared, You are genuinely light, and the light is shining on us and our families."

In response, Governor Adeleke pledged to do more for workers and the state's citizens while thanking the workforce for publicly endorsing and approving his performance in office.

Every employee should, in my opinion, be treated with respect and decency. The wellbeing of employees, particularly the bureaucracy, which serves as the government's engine room, must be given top priority by the government.

Neglecting the well-being of employees is a sin. I reaffirm my unwavering dedication to the wellbeing of workers. Our pro-worker policies and programs will be strengthened the more resources we have.

We are taking that action because Osun informal and formal workers are connected. The civil service continues to be the primary engine of the state economy until Osun State is fully industrialized.

Therefore, any support for public service is really a support for all Osun citizens. "With your help, I'll continue to implement our five-point agenda, with worker welfare at the top of the list. We will all work together to elevate Osun.
