for President Muhammadu Buhari’s crusade to rid the country of corruption. Chairman of the Association of Nigerian Entrepreneurs, UK, Mr. Charles Sylvester, said the President’s move would instill discipline in the country’s accounting system, arguing that Nigerians could not afford to allow corruption to destroy the very fabrics of the society. Sylvester, who is also the vice chairman of the Central Association of Nigerians in the UK, told newsmen in Jos on Monday that critics of the President’s anti-graft campaign did not wish the country well. He said, “I dare say that we in the Diaspora are monitoring everything that the present administration is doing and we support it 100 per cent. We can no longer sit aloof and watch the country sink to the abyss. Everything that the President is doing is in order and we enjoin all Nigerians to support him. “We have been watching keenly how the President is trying to reposition the economy and we appreciate all his efforts. We call on all Nigerians to support our President and we in the Diaspora will do everything in our power to support him. Sylvester appealed to the government to ensure the establishment of the Diaspora commission, so that the country could begin to reap the benefits of the vast human capital available in the Diaspora. He this had become imperative against the backdrop of a serious economic crisis facing the country coupled with the stashing of the country looted funds abroad by greedy politicians and the urgent need to diversity Nigeria’s economy from its over dependence on oil.
