Tragedy was averted Friday night on Ikorodu road when a PSP truck coming from Fadeyi axis of the ever busy road suddenly burst into a huge ball of flames in the middle of the road.

The incident, which occurred at around 7:15pm by Obanikoro bus stop, saw pedestrians running helter-skelter.

It took the intervention of men of the Lagos State Fire Service, who arrived at the scene of the incident 15 minutes later, to put out the huge fire ball resulting from the exploded fuel tank of the PSP refuse truck.

No live was lost in the inferno whose cause remains unknown as at the time of filing this report.
