The Leader of Afenifere, Egbe Ilosiwaju Yoruba, Senator Ayo Fasanmi is dead. He died on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 night after a brief illness in Osogbo.

Senator Ayo Fasanmi, Afenifere leader dies at 94. Nigeria Second republic Senator and elder statesman, Pa Ayo Fasanmi, is dead. Aged 94, the leader of Afenifere died in his country home in Osogbo on Thursday morning. Sources close to the Senator told OSUN DEFENDER that Pa Fasanmi died last night. Fasanmi would have clocked 95 on September 27.

Senator Ayo Fasanmi death was confirmed by his Personal Assistant, Tope Adebayo on Thursday morning.
