Maina Ularamu, the former Chairman of Madagali Local Government Area, in a telephone interview with Premium Times, said the insurgents attacked Dar Village in the council at about 8:30 p.m. He said: “A large number of gunmen invaded the village, forcing resident to flee to nearby bush. Two female suicide bombers disguised as fleeing villagers detonated explosives in the bush where many people were hiding, killing twelve persons.” He also said that the victims who sustained injuries were taken to the hospital by police personnel. Othman Abubakar, the spokesperson of the Adamawa Police Command, confirmed the attack, but did not give any details. The insurgents in Northern Nigeria have killed over 20,000 people; with Adamawa, Borno, and Yobe most affected. Meanwhile President Buhari has said he will not resign if he does not fulfill his promise of defeating Boko Haram by December 2015. In a recent interview with Al-Jazeera, he acknowledged that he would be willing to negotiate with the Boko Haram group to secure the release of the kidnapped Chibok schoolgirls.
