Posted by: Morayo« on: October 22, 2017, 03:18:05 PM »![]() The corpse of Oluseye Adekunle, the man who jumped into the lagoon around Lekki Toll gate on Friday was discovered by a local fisherman Sunday morning floating by the river bank around Lekki-Ikoyi Bridge. The body was recovered by coordinated effort of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA), Marine Police and handed over to the State Environmental Monitoring Unit (SEHMU). The deceased was taken to Lagos Mainland Hospital Mortuary for deposition. In a joint press conference of emergency responders at the scene, General Manager LASEMA Mr. Adesina Tiamiyu, Managing Director, Mr. Damilola Emmanuel, and the DPO Maroko Police Station declared the recovery exercise closed at 11:30 am. Tiamiyu said that the Police will carry out further investigation on the incident. The official enjoined Lagosians to be their brother’s keeper by promptly reporting suicide attempts to relevant authorities.
