It has been revealed that the remains of the late Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, will be buried today (Saturday).

The Head of Oyo Mesi, who is the Prime Minister of Oyo Kingdom, High Chief Yusuf Ayoola, said this while addressing journalists at the palace.

The Oyo prime minister said, “We have called the Imam. Baba will be buried today around 4pm.”

He confirmed that Oba Adeyemi died at the Afe Babalola University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti on Friday night.

Ayoola added that the necesary rites of passage had been performed.
