The younger brother to the late Senator Isiaka Adeleke, Otunba Ademola Adeleke who is an aspirant for the Osun West Senatorial by-election under the All Progressives Congress (APC) has dumped the APC for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)

Reports have it that the defection is a ploy to get the ticket to contest the Senatorial seat under the platform of the PDP.

It was learned that some of his supporters within the APC were instrumental to Adeleke’s defection, as he was supposed to contest the APC primaries with Senator Mudasiru Hussein whenever the primaries comes up .

Sources within the PDP confided in our correspondent that some APC leaders who are loyal to late Isiaka Adeleke had been having marathon meeting with the factional chairman of the PDP , Hon Soji Adagunodo and others PDP leaders  in the last 48 hours.

Meanwhile, some of his supporters in his country home are not well disposed to the new  arrangement insisting that he remains within the APC.

It is however not clear when the APC primaries will come up as it has been postponed twice after the National Working Committee of the party upturned the disqualification of one of the aspirants Senator Mudashir Hussein.
