At least eight persons were killed today when a female suicide bomber detonated explosives in the midst of worshippers in a Mosque in Maiduguri, witnesses and security officials have said.

The suicide bomber was being chased by security operatives when she detonated the bombs strapped to her chest. About 13 other worshippers were also left with threatening injuries in the deafening explosion.
