The Federal Government says it has emptied 1,030 stranded Nigerian vagrants from Libya between Jan. 7 and Jan. 8, 2018.

Chief General of the National Emergency Management Agency, Mustapha Maihaja, uncovered this at a joint news meeting by the Federal Government assignment to Libya.

Review that the Foreign Affairs Minister, Geoffrey Onyeama, had on Jan. 5 drove an assignment on truth discovering mission to Libya to secure the arrival of Nigerian vagrants stranded in that nation.

The assignment contained Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Foreign Affairs and Diaspora and Muhammad Babandede, Comptroller General of the Nigerian Immigration Service.

As per Maihaja, the returnees were 485, who returned on Sunday, and 545, who returned on Monday.

He noticed that they were a piece of the 5,037 stranded Nigerians in Libya recognized for departure back home.
