Messi’s deal with the Ligue 1 champions runs out next June. The 35-year-old has already been heavily linked with a move to Major League Soccer side Inter Miami. However, there is a clause in Messi’s current contract with PSG that could see him trigger a one-year extension. “If a player’s not happy you will see their performance not good for the national team. He performed fantastic this season for us, he’s scored a lot of goals and assists for the national team and for the club. “So what we agreed together that after the World Cup, [we] sit down together. But both sides are very happy, so we will talk after the World Cup,” Al-Khelaifi told Sky Sports.
