After finishing his time in Europe, Ronaldo, who is now 37 years old, joined Al Nassr in a deal that will keep him there until June 2025. After passing his physical exam, Ronaldo was presented to the club on January 3 at the stadium. There were rumors that DStv would purchase the league's television rights following his announcement as Al Nassr's most recent acquisition and the Saudi Pro League's largest transfer. However, Joy Sports claims that despite acknowledging the significance of Ronaldo's move, DStv has denied the claims, stating that it has no immediate plans to show the Saudi Pro League. The satellite broadcast station said it thought it was "premature" to buy the rights to Saudi Arabia's top flight on television. According to Joy Sports, the move that DStv made prior to the start of the 2018/2019 season, when it purchased the rights to the Italian Serie A following Ronaldo's arrival at Juventus, was anticipated by fans as a repeat.
