Chelsea Sack Head Coach After Brighton Defeat
on: April 23, 2026, 07:32:44 AM

After a string of poor performances, including a 3-0 loss to Brighton on Tuesday night, Chelsea Football Club fired head coach Liam Rosenior.

The team admitted that Rosenior's recent performances have fallen short of expectations but thanked him for his professionalism and integrity since he was hired halfway through the season.

With the backing of Chelsea's current backroom staff, Calum McFarlane has been appointed Interim Head Coach until the conclusion of the season. The team underlined how important it is to qualify for Europe and advance in the FA Cup.

Chelsea affirmed that the choice was not made hastily and that a long-term hiring procedure will be implemented in order to stabilize the managerial position.
