Inter Miami captain Lionel Messi’s sister, Maria, has been hospitalized after she was involved in a serious accident in Miami.

As reported by TouchlineX (via Daily Mirror), she lost control of the vehicle after she fainted and then hit a wall.

The report added that Maria fractured her heel and wrist, adding that she is also suffering from burns that are difficult to treat.

The 32-year-old designer was taken back to Rosario to start rehabilitation.

Maria was about to get married to Julian Arellano, the youth coach of Inter Miami, on 3 January 2026, before the accident.

As a result of the accident, the wedding has been canceled.
