Sport/Gaming / Leroy Sane’s preferred destination after rejecting two EPL clubs« Last post by Morayo on May 11, 2025, 07:04:10 AM »![]() Leroy Sane’s ‘desired destination’ has reportedly been revealed with Arsenal and Chelsea interested in signing him on a free transfer this summer. Sane’s contract with Bayern Munich expires next month and while the Bundesliga champions want to keep him, they have been unable to agree fresh terms with the player. The 29-year-old has been offered a three-year deal at a reduced salary which would still earn him around £12million per season but it is said he is not satisfied. With Bayern Munich refusing to bow to his demands, it is looking increasingly likely that the Germany international will leave the Bavarians and he is not short of suitors. Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United are keen on signing him. According to Sky Germany, Sane’s preference would be to return to the Premier League with an ‘ambitious club’, with Arsenal and Chelsea appealing prospects to him. The report added that Sane is not interested in a switch to Tottenham or Newcastle. This is a huge boost for both Chelsea and Arsenal as they aim to bolster their squad this summer. Sane has played in the Premier League before during his time at Manchester City. 3

According to him, the blind impersonator is an undergraduate. The 2025 UTME results were officially released to the public on Friday. Ahead of the release, JAMB provided statistics on the performance of the 1.9 million candidates who participated in the exam. The figures show a staggering outcome as over 1.5 million candidates scored below 200, which is considered the average benchmark. Education / Blind Candidate Hired Visually Impaired Undergraduate To Write 2025 UTME« Last post by Morayo on May 11, 2025, 06:46:10 AM »![]() The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has revealed that a blind candidate allegedly paid another visually impaired individual to impersonate him during the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). Speaking during a press briefing in Abuja on Friday, Ishaq Oloyede, JAMB registrar, provided updates on the conduct and outcome of the 2025 UTME. Oloyede said the incident occurred during the examination of blind candidates under the JAMB Equal Opportunity Group (JEOG), which facilitates inclusive testing for candidates with disabilities. He said a total of 501 visually impaired candidates were successfully examined at 11 centres nationwide. “Sadly, one of them was also involved in impersonation by recruiting an undergraduate student who is also blind to come and write for another blind candidate,” he said. The registrar expressed disappointment over the development, noting that it shows desperation for access to tertiary education. He said JAMB refunds the registration fees of blind and other challenged candidates and covers transportation, accommodation, and feeding during the examination period. He reiterated the board’s commitment to supporting candidates with special needs. “The board remains committed to providing the necessary support for persons with disabilities aspiring to pursue tertiary education,” Oloyede said. “The Prof. Peter Okebukola-led JEOG continues to demonstrate exceptional dedication in ensuring that these candidates are able to sit examinations, regardless of their challenges.” The results of the 2025 UTME were released on Friday, with over 1.9 million candidates receiving their scores. However, the results of 39,834 candidates have been withheld. Ahead of the release, JAMB said over 40 individuals had been apprehended for their involvement in examination malpractice. 6
SpyLoaded News / Nigerian Policemen Allegedly Shoot Church Worker In Abuja« Last post by Morayo on May 11, 2025, 06:44:32 AM »![]() Two Nigerian police officers have been accused of recklessly mishandling a rifle, resulting in the shooting of church worker John Bargo at the Baptist Church in Kaura District, Abuja—an incident that left bloodshed, trauma, and a wave of unanswered questions. It was gathered that Bargo, a staff member of the church, was sitting outside the premises on April 23, waiting to receive a guitar he had ordered. He was seated beside a police officer, identified as Umar, assigned to the church for routine security. Across the street, another officer, Ahmed, was on post at a school directly opposite. Beevan Magoni described a scene that began with casual horseplay but quickly spiralled into horror. “Ahmed just walked across the road and grabbed Umar’s rifle like they were playing,” one witness, who asked not to be named, recounted. “At first, it seemed like a joke, but then he cocked the rifle and released the safety. That’s when it got serious.” However, a brief but frantic scuffle ensued as Umar struggled to regain control of the weapon. He succeeded in recovering the rifle but, crucially, failed to clear the chamber, leaving a live round inside. Moments later, Ahmed returned. According to Beevan, this time, in what witnesses say looked like a continuation of their reckless tussle, Ahmed again seized the rifle. The muzzle was inadvertently pointed toward John, who sat relaxed with his leg folded in a casual position. “That’s not how to do it,” Ahmed allegedly said, tugging on the weapon. However, a shot rang out. The bullet tore through John’s shin and thigh, shattering his femur on impact. Beevan explained that John collapsed in pain, bleeding and confused. "Apart from an unarmed civilian felled by an officer’s careless handling of a firearm in broad daylight, more troubling than the incident itself has been the aftermath. Officer Ahmed reportedly absconded for days following the shooting, and while John was rushed to hospital for emergency surgery, Officer Umar quietly resumed duty at his original post without public inquiry or visible disciplinary action. "With no insurance and little financial support, the church was forced to suspend a major project and redirect over ₦5million to cover John’s surgery and immediate care. Though he survived, his recovery remains long and uncertain," Beevan added. However, despite the gravity of the incident, neither officer has been formally charged or publicly reprimanded. 7

Religious / White Smoke Rises From Sistine Chapel Chimney As New Pope Is Elected At Vatican« Last post by Morayo on May 08, 2025, 09:58:57 PM »White smoke rose from the chimney of the Vatican’s Sistine Chapel on Thursday, signaling that the 133 cardinals inside have successfully elected a new pope. The cardinals picked a successor to Pope Francis on the second day of voting, but the world’s 1.4 billion Catholics will have to wait for the official announcement from the balcony of St Peter’s Basilica to learn who he is. The smoke was met with loud applause from the thousands of pilgrims and tourists waiting in St Peter’s Square. They are happy because the smoke means that one of the 133 cardinals inside the chapel has obtained the necessary two-thirds majority required to win the conclave, the secretive centuries-old ritual of electing a new pontiff. In a further confirmation that the conclave is over, the bells of St Peter’s Basilica rang out. The pope was chosen on the second day of voting, after the fourth ballot, although his identity was not immediately made known. When Jorge Bergoglio, who became Pope Francis, was elected in March 2013, his identity was revealed about 45 minutes after the white smoke when he appeared on the balcony above St Peter’s Square. 9

Governor Adeleke recalled that when he assumed office in 2022 he was deeply concerned by the bad state of the state fire service facilities. Crime / Troops Bust Filling Station Loading Fuel In Jerrycans For Boko Haram Terrorists« Last post by Morayo on May 07, 2025, 11:04:19 AM »Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have intercepted a large-scale fuel supply operation in Maiduguri, Borno State, intended for Boko Haram insurgents operating in the Gwoza axis and parts of Cameroon. The troops busted Hadiza and Sadiq Filling Station while its operators were brazenly loading fuel into 500 jerrycans, in what authorities described as a deliberate and treacherous attempt to empower the enemies of Nigeria. Intelligence sources confirmed to security analyst, Zagazola Makama that the troops had been tracking the activities of several unpatriotic fuel merchants engaged in black market sales, often using modified tanks in vehicles such as Gulf cars to transport large quantities of fuel to unknown destinations. These products were later transferred into jerrycans and smuggled to terrorist-controlled areas. But on this occasion, their luck ran out. Troops stormed the scene and arrested several suspects caught in the act. During preliminary interrogation, the suspects confessed to taking the fuel toward Pulka and the Cameroon axis, an area which harbours several terrorists from the Ali Ngulde faction. They, however, claimed ignorance about the identities of the recipients, revealing that individuals from “various destinations” collect the products.
