It was gathered that the students, who were protesting the death of two of their colleagues, marched to the school’s Health Centre and set it on fire. Also, the students blocked major roads in the area, leading to traffic gridlock. According to reports, the two students complained of malaria, Friday, and thus rushed to the school’s Health Centre. They later passed out Saturday morning, but it is unclear whether the students died at the Health Centre or not. Further reports show the students had taken to the protest since their colleagues were not properly treated but given only paracetamol at the Health Centre. While announcing the school’s closure, the Registrar, Sade Adediran, warned that any student found on campus will be arrested and made to face severe consequences.
