Oluwole Oke, the director-general of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign Council for the upcoming Osun State governorship election, has promised that the Accord will not win any ward in the Ijesa North federal constituency (Oriade and Obokun local government areas) on August 15, 2026.
Oluwole oke made the statement on Tuesday while discussing the political landscape ahead of the governorship election in a media chat meeting with the Osun Online Publishers Association, OOPA.
Oke criticized the state's water supply condition, alleging that many rural communities rely on streams for drinking water due to a lack of suitable public water infrastructure.
The lawmaker accused the Adeleke administration of executing substandard road projects.
He said, "Go to public schools in Osun; go to rural places. Farmers no longer feel comfortable sending their children to public schools because they have lost faith in government institutions.
Speaking on the APC’s strategy ahead of the August 15, 2026 governorship election, Oluwole Oke said the party was focused on engaging residents and convincing them that they deserve better governance.
“APC is good at removing sitting governments and one will happen August 15, it is about strategy, he says.”
The APC campaign chief maintained that the party remained strongly rooted in the two local government areas and was well positioned to record a convincing victory at the polls.

According to him, “the Accord Party stands no chance of winning any ward in either Obokun or Oriade. Voters in the areas would overwhelmingly support the APC.”
He also revealed that the Osun APC has been running issue based campaigns.
“In APC we speak to issues. This government is not doing anything for the citizens.
“Osun youths are wise, educated and reasonable people. They will vote Governor Ademola Adeleke out.”
Additionally, Oke said that Governor Ademola Adeleke's administration was producing chaos in the state's health, education, and other areas because of his poor policy knowledge.

“The current governor, Ademola Adeleke has tried his best and my opinion is that he has limitations in terms of capacity, understanding of police, finances, governance and I have come to a conclusion that his administration has caused commotion everywhere in education, health care".
"We have completed our work, and I can guarantee you that my brother, Governor Ademola Adeleke, is already packing his bags to leave the administration, based on the fact that Osun State residents, voters, and the electorate will vote out this government on August 15, 2026".
"As you can see, he is packing his bags and luggage and is no longer dancing at parties. He really now spends more time in Lagos since he is aware that he is unable to make it, Wole Oke added".
