It has been reported that Sunday Zaka, Chairman of the People's Democratic Party in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT Abuja, has passed away.

The Zaka passed away around 3 a.m. on Saturday following a fatal accident on his way to his Kuje home, according to the Daily Post.

After a few events at a party in the city center, he died alongside his personal security.

The unfortunate incident has not yet been confirmed by the family, but party chieftain Michael Kpatuba posted the news on Facebook on Saturday morning.

The FCT and PDP family is deeply grieved by Election Day.

The post read, "Rest in peace, Hon Zaka Sunday, FCT PDP Chairman."
