Investigations by our correspondent in Abuja on Saturday, showed that the party was still looking at the North-East, where the position of national chairman was zoned to. Announcing the former chairman’ resignation, the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr. Olisa Metuh had said, “The National Working Committee PDP at its 399th meeting today, Wednesday, May 20, 2015 received and accepted the voluntary resignation of the National Chairman of our great party Ahmadu Adamu Mu’azu.
