The candidate of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ademola Adeleke, in the Osun state governorship election is leading after collation of results from six of the 30 local government areas.

According to the results announced so far at the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Osogbo, the PDP candidate won in five of the six local governments.

The election took place in three thousand and ten (3010) polling units in three hundred and thirty-two (332) registration areas.
