President Muhammadu Buhari is set to leave the United States for London on Thursday for a scheduled medical appointment with his doctors.

The president was in the US to attend the United Nations General Assembly, where he delivered a speech to world leaders. Before his trip to the UNGA, the Special Adviser to the Buhari on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, had announced that the president would stop over in the UK.

The president, alongside other African leaders, met with President Donald Trump on Wednesday.

According to reports, the president would see his UK doctors on Saturday,
