IBF, WBA and WBO heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua, has clarified that Deontay Wilder is his "fundamental target" so Dillian Whyte should sit tight for a rematch.

Joshua will guard his belts against Andy Ruiz Jr on June 1 yet is now looking at an undisputed title fight against WBC holder Wilder.

"I'm not taking a gander at Dillian any longer, I'm taking a gander at Wilder, since he has the belt.

"Ruiz Jr? If I move beyond him, Wilder, that is my fundamental goal. Basic as that," Joshua revealed to Sky Sports.

Whyte was in the hurrying to turn into Joshua's next rival and vindicate the main loss of his vocation, continued in late 2015 with the British title on hold.

In the wake of thumping out Derek Chisora last December, Whyte was considered as a challenger for Joshua's reality titles, yet couldn't consent to an arrangement.

Whyte will rather fight the unbeaten Oscar Rivas on July 20.
