Under The Queen’s Umbrella - It’s Autumn scheduling time, so Netflix is ready to release another K-Drama series. This time we are looking forward to a historical drama, so expect plenty of lavish sets and costumes as this South Korean tale of political double-crossing and royal backstabbing promises lots of intrigue and drama at a Royal level.

Lovers of k-drama will probably already be on board for this historical drama. With a pair of princes that seem to be nothing but trouble for the Royal family, and an angry, disillusioned Queen doing her best to hold things together, the premise could almost seem familiar. The trials and tribulations of this particular family will no doubt have plenty of twists and turns, and the ensemble cast promise a wide array of characters, so if you are a lover of k-drama and Royal shenanigans, this could be a show for you.

The Korean Drama series premiere globally on Saturday, October 15th, 2022, at 9:10 PM (KST). Two episodes will be released on a Saturday and Sunday, and the series is projected to conclude on Sunday, December 4th, 2022. In total, there will be 16 episodes running at an average runtime of 60 minutes each.

The short teaser trailer is just enough to whet the appetite for this tale of Royal politics. There is a sign on the trailer about the ruthlessness of the Queen, and her tenacity in her duties, but check out some of the sumptuous visuals on display too. There are some lovely, framed scenes here and the cinematography looks lavish and grand.

K-drama can be so engrossing, and the audience seems to grow with each release, so a historical story with the kind of production values we have come to expect is sure to be a treat for fans. I am expecting great things from the production; just watch the trailer, and I have no doubt that there will be plenty of behind-the-scenes skulduggery and intrigue to keep us hooked as the wayward Princes have to be formatted into being the figureheads their kingdom expects.
