Together, they had united for an aspiring type mashup: "Kingdom" is set in Korea's medieval Joseon period where a crown ruler is sent on a suicide mission to examine a secretive flare-up that drives him to a merciless truth that undermines the kingdom. Apparently “Kingdom” will have two seasons, and the second will go into production shortly after the original debuts on Netflix globally. “Kingdom” is a hugely ambitious show and apparently each episode cost over $1.78 million. “Kingdom” stars Ju Ji-hoon, Bae Doona (“Sympathy For Mr. Vengeance,” “The Host,” “Cloud Atlas”), Ryu Seung-ryong (“Miracle in Cell No. 7“) and debuts globally on Netflix January 25, 2019.
