Into the Dark is an American horror anthology web television series produced for Hulu. The first season premiered on October 5, 2018, and consists of twelve feature-length episodes. Into the Dark was renewed for a second season, which premiered on October 4, 2019, and also consists of twelve episodes.

All of the main cast is expected to return for In the Dark season two.

This includes Perry Matfield as lead character Murphy, Rich Sommer as Dean and Brooke Markham as Jess.

One character who may not be back is Jules (played by Saycon Sengbloh), who may have been killed in the series one finale.

The CW has not yet announced any new cast members who will be joining In the Dark for season two. The first series followed Murphy (played by Perry Mattfeld) a blind woman in her twenties who is the only witness to the murder of her drug-dealing friend Tyson.

When the police do to follow through on her claims, Murphy takes matters into her own hands with her guide dog Pretzel.

Together, they go on the hunt to find the killer responsible. The series originates from The CW’s social good programme, which is partnered with the Guide Dogs of America organisation and together they sponsor litters of puppies to be trained as guide dogs.

The series is executively produced by Ben Stiller and the first episode was directed by The Big Sick’s Michael Showalter.

However, it will have to pick up on the cliffhangers of the first series of In the Dark.

For example, season two will need to show whether Dean can get out of the coma that the car crash left him in.

In the Dark season two may also see Murphy laundering money for Nia (Nicki Michaeux) after she offered her a job at the end of the episode.
