Another season-based drama is about to debut on SBS, a popular platform for such shows. It is none other than "Agent Kim Reactivated," which has been praised as 2026's greatest drama.

SBS's Friday-Saturday drama "Agent Kim Reactivated" (authored by Nam Dae-jung, directed by Lee Seung-young and Lee So-eun, developed by Studio S, produced by Studio S and Pantagio) has started talks for Season 2, according to OSEN's probe on July 26.

In its first episode, "Agent Kim Reactivated" had a viewership rate of 9.5%; in its fourth episode, it reached 21.6%, surpassing the 20% threshold. Up to its final tenth episode, which ended with a countrywide rating of 23.0%, it maintained viewership above 20% for seven straight episodes. According to Nielsen Korea, the peak viewership was 27.1%.

Curiosity regarding a season-based continuance was unavoidable given its steady popularity from the beginning. Notably, So Ji-sub expressed his desire for a "season-based" drama over acting honors during the SBS Drama Media Day.

"Agent Kim Reactivated" demonstrated the unique parental love of four fathers in Season 1. Kim, the department chief who overthrew Joo Hak Construction (played by Joo Sang-wook), was shown working at "Baekho Employment Agency" in the conclusion.

Predictions surfaced that Season 2 may inevitably center on Kim and the staff at Baekho Employment Agency with the introduction of Lee Do-gyu.

The "Agent Kim Reactivated" production team has started having constructive conversations about Season 2. However, there isn't a set schedule yet because Season 1 just ended.
