The film and The El Royale hotel, are fascinating, without a doubt, Goddard has uncovered that it straddles the Nevada/California outskirt, implying that betting is lawful on one side, while drinking is legitimate on the other. The characters, which as per the principal trailer, are being watched, and the film happens throughout one night as privileged insights become known and the visitors' genuine expectations and insider facts are uncovered.

In a meeting with EW, Goddard alluded to the film as "an affection letter" to wrongdoing fiction and film noir. "I'm only an aficionado of the class, so I don't overthink it," he said. "I simply trust in my affection for wrongdoing fiction and let that leak in."

"Bad Times at the El Royale" will be the second collaboration amongst Goodard and Chris Hemsworth, who cooperated on "Lodge in the Woods." Starring close by Hemsworth is Jeff Bridges, Cynthia Erivo, Dakota Johnson, Jon Hamm, Nick Offerman, Lewis Pullman, and Cailee Spaeny.
