Tyla wins the Grammy for Best African Music Performance.
Tyla, a vocalist from South Africa, took home the Grammy for Best African Music Performance.
Tyla overcame a lineup of Nigerian artists that included Davido, Burna Boy, Asake, and Ayra Starr in 2023 after making her breakthrough with the popular song "Water."
An elated Tyla said he didn’t expect it but was glad to win her first Grammy at only 22.
