Episode 1
Story: Miriam Edem

Getting into the new apartment with her luggage, her roommates welcomed her as they showed her space,
“Its beautiful, Jennifer said.
“Yea it is, you’re welcome once again, Annabel said.
“Thank you, Jennifer replied and looked through the window to see a guy jogging and she scoffed.
“Exercise should be done early in the morning and not by this time, what’s he feeling like? Jennifer asked and her room mates quickly got who she was referring to.
“Oh You mean him? But its still early, Treasure said.
“Early? Excuse me its past 7 a.m and this isn’t exercise anymore to me but a show up, Jennifer replied.
“Don’t you know him? Annabel asked..
“Know him? Why should I? Jennifer asked.
“Well he’s popular there in school and am surprised you don’t know him, Annabel replied.
“Not too quick, remember she just got admitted, Treasure came in.
“Oh pardon me i forgot, and also he is every girl crush here and even in school, but sadly he doesn’t look at our faces, Annabel added and Jennifer laughed.
“Sorry sorry I see that funny, so you mean you two are crushing on the same guy huh? Jennifer asked.
“Yea that’s no big deal for me, but it looks like none of us stand a better chance for the kind of girl he want, Treasure replied.
“Well thats good for you two, I am not here for all this love stunt. I withdrew from the other university I attended to start a fresh programme here which I won’t need any distraction, Jennifer said bringing out her stuffs.
“Care to share why? Annabel asked.
“No please, Jenny replied.
“Okay, so have you eaten? Annabel asked.
“Yea I did though it was snacks but I’m good thanks, Jennifer replied………………..
Minutes later they got into school together and Jennifer just kept staring around, ‘it looks good right? Treasure asked.
“Yea not bad, its just like my former, Jenny replied.
“Well it won’t be difficult to cope when you have a first hand experience. You’ll just go over there and ask of your department, Annabel said pointing at a building.
“Yea sure thanks, Jenny said.
“Don’t forget to give me a call when you’re done, see ya, they shouted.
“I will bye, Jenny replied and her phone began to ring.
“Hello mom, sorry I forgot to call but I was having that in mind, Jenny said.
“That’s no problem, you’re in school right? Her mom asked.
“Yea I’m just about approaching a building now, can we talk later please? Jenny asked.
“Of course, just be careful and make sure you don’t repeat the same mistake. Bye, her mom said and dropped the call and Jenny countenance dropped.
“Excuse me please, where can I see SC room 13? She quickly stopped someone.
“Over there, go to the left, she replied..
“Thank you, Jenny said and hurried there but met the lecture already on.
She stood outside with her hand up, “good morning sir, sorry to disturb can I please come in? She asked.
“Thanks for interrupting, can you now come in? The lecturer replied and she nodded going on.
“Jennifer Mark right? The lecturer asked.
“Correct sir, she replied.
“See to it that you’ll graduate here unlike your former, the lecturer said and she nodded sitting down.
She heaved at that trying to free up her mood and get ready for the lecture…………..
Minutes later the class was over and she hurriedly took her stuff and left the building saying a word to no one. Fiddling her phone to call Annabel she bashed on someone and the phone fell from her hand,
“Oh my God! What’s this can’t you look? She shouted at whoever it was.
“I should ask you that, you bashed on me rather and you got what you deserve, a voice replied and she raised her head to see who it was but was surprised to see the guy that was jogging earlier.
“Is that the best way to apologize? Look you just spoilt my phone and this is all you can say right?, Jennifer asked and he rolled his eyes.
“Just tell me you need money and stop beating around, he said bringing out some notes and gave it to her.
“Use that to get your phone fixed and get out on my way, he said but she surprisedly tore the notes throwing the pieces on his face,
“Use that to get your miserable attitude fixed rather, she replied, took up her phone and left as he stood shocked.
“Mhen did a girl just do that to you Theodore? His friend asked as he looked around to see the students gathered who viewed the drama.
“Let’s get out from here, Theodore said.
“Who’s that girl? She got nerves, Theodore angrily said as he walked fast with his friend.
“Can you please just slow down a bit? After all no one here knew what just happened, his friend said and stopped tired.
“I have never been this embarrassed before, imagine she threw the notes on me in public… Gosh! Theodore shouted cleaning his face.
“But you were rude as you’ve always been rude to girls. To me I think you’ve met your match, you two will make an awesome couple, Daniel said in a mockery way.
“I’ll pretend I didn’t hear that but she’ll surely get it from me, Theodore said.
“And how are you going to do that? Daniel asked.
“I’m not sure yet but I must surely get back at her, Theodore replied and Daniel laughed.
“Can you just forget it after all you started it first, you bashed on her and destroyed her screen, to add to it you were rude and she responded to your attitude so let it go. Let’s talk about how hot and beautiful she is, Daniel said winking at him..
“Hot? Beautiful? Gosh I can’t believe this. She’s the most ugliest person I’ve ever seen, Theodore replied.
“I know you don’t mean what you just said, tell me you are joking, Daniel said.
“Read my lips, she is damn ugly, Theodore replied and walked away while Daniel cleaned his eyes surprised………………
Jennifer got home and met her roommates worried, “where on earth did you go to switching off your phone? Treasure asked.
“Sorry about that. Your crush boyfriend damaged my phone, I had to look for a way to get it fixed, Jennifer replied.
“Crush boyfriend? You mean Theodore? Treasure asked.
“Oh my God did you meet Theodore? What did he say? Annabel asked holding Jennifer excitedly and Jenny sighed.
“I can’t imagine me crushing on someone terrible like that, that’s pathetic, Jenny replied and sat Down.
“What happened? Annabel asked calming down..
“Gosh he’s so rude! He bashed on me and damaged my phone, not even a sorry I could get but irritating words from him. He’s just a jerk, Jenny replied and they rolled their eyes and started laughing.
“Why that? Jennifer asked confused.
“Well you see Theodore, he is so difficult for any girl to get. And we are beginning to wonder the kind of planet and world that lucky girl will come from, Treasure replied.
“You call her lucky girl? I tell you there is no good thing in him to make her lucky trust me, Jennifer said.
“You want to try? Annabel asked.
“Try what? Jennifer asked.
“To see if there is no good in him, Annabel replied and Jenny smiled.
“Are you trying to say I should make him fall for me? Jenny asked.
“If he will, I mean you two just had an encounter the probability here is unsure, Treasure replied.
“Girls I didn’t come here for that, I just need to graduate here as soon as possible, Jennifer replied.
“Well if you say so, did You get the phone fixed? Annabel asked.
“Yea I did, oh I need to call my mom Now, Jennifer replied dialing her mom number……………..

That evening the ladies went out for a stroll, going on the road people just kept staring,
“Babe you’re getting admires already in few hours, Annabel winked at Jennifer.
“Absolute rubbish, all of that doesn’t move me, Jenny replied.
“Is there anything you’re not telling us? Treasure asked.
“Oh please don’t start, there’s no nothing to tell you just that none of this things move me, Jennifer replied.
A car drove by and Treasure smiled “our crush just passed, She said hitting Jennifer who just shook her head.
“Isn’t that the girl that embarrassed you earlier? Daniel asked.
“Yea she is, little wonder she stays around here, Theodore replied.
“Yes she stays in your area isn’t that good? Daniel replied winking at him.
“What exactly is your problem? You really think I will fall for a girl like her huh? Theodore asked.
“Yea I feel that in my spirit, she gat the vibes that fits you well. I mean no girl in this area or in school can do that to you, not the handsome Theodore all the girls trips for. Think about it, Daniel said and he smiled.
“You think so? I can make her not different from every other girl there in college, Theodore said.
“I’ll like to see you try, because to me that girl will be a tough one after what you did to her, Daniel replied.
“You think so? But you know i can prove you wrong, Theodore said.
“Prove me wrong? Can you use 1 week to do that? Look guy I bet you, you will surely fall in love with her, Daniel said and Theodore burst out laughing.
“When did you become a comedian? You’re getting crazy, Theodore said.
“Fine let’s do a Bet. When I just saw her at first, I felt something different and I know you’ll be connected somehow in it, Daniel said and Theodore just looked at him smiling.
“Wait a minute, are you trying to say we two can be in love…like be a campus couple huh? Do you realize I am in my finals and soon I’ll be gone? Theodore asked.
“That’s why you should make It quick before you leave, 1 week, just 1 one week make her yours let’s see if she is different from other girls, Daniel said and Theodore shook his head.
“I can’t do that, I can’t stand so low for her, I mean what for? He asked.
“Well I’ll just take it as you can’t do it and its so obvious, maybe you’re afraid of her or something, Daniel replied.
“Whatever, that is Game for kids, Theodore said.
“But you said you wanted to get back at her, can’t you use the chance? Daniel asked and he rolled his eyes.
“Aren’t you going to stop? Theodore asked.
“OK fine fine let’s end it, but she’s so hot I can see the guys staring, Daniel said with a smirk.
“One more word from you, I’ll drop you off here. Enough with this girl talk, Theodore said.
“OK fine, lips sealed, Daniel said putting his head through the window………………
The next day Jennifer dressed up on a handless top, with a short and snickers with her headphones on.
“Where are you going to this early? Annabel asked.
“For exercise, Jenny replied checking out her snickers.
“At past 5a.m? Treasure asked.
“Yup, best time for it. See you before 6.30, bye, Jenny replied putting on her headphones and left while her friends looked speechless.
Theodore was already up that early doing his Gymnastics outside his house.
Suddenly he saw her passed and was surprised as he went closer to the Gate to be sure.
“She do this too? I mean no lady here can do this and not this early, he said to himself and nodded impressed with what he saw.
He went back to his exercise waving the thought aside and Daniel coughed.
“What are you doing here dressed like this? He asked.
“Well I wanted to join you in the exercise but I just saw a more interesting one. I’ll love to join her, bye, Daniel said and opened the gate waving at Theodore as he ran after Jennifer.
“Hey… Hey please wait! He kept shouting and waving at her after running for so long trying to meet up with her.
Jennifer heard some whispers and turned round to see someone coming behind her, she took off her headphones and stopped.
“Oh thank Goodness you stopped. I’m Daniel, he said giving his hand for a shake breathing hard.
“Okay you’re Daniel so? Jennifer asked ignoring his hand.
“Won’t I at least know your name? Daniel asked.
“Is this why I stopped? Sorry I don’t give out my name to strangers, she said bringing out a plastic water to drink.
“But we are neighbours, he insisted..
“Still doesn’t make a difference, bye, Jennifer said and took off again..
“Hey at least wait for me, Daniel said but she put on her headphones again without looking back.
“Urghhh this should be Theodore’s match and I must see them together no matter what, Daniel said smiling…………………..
Daniel weakly walked in and met Theodore eating his breakfast, “no jogging today? Daniel asked.
“Nop i don’t feel like doing it today. So how was the exercise? He asked.
“God it was hell. That girl is so bad in running, she ran for long meters without getting tired or stopping. When she finally stopped I went to have a chat with her but she shunned me. She bluntly refused to tell me her name and I was like, what kind of girl is she? Daniel said and Theodore only nodded humming some unknown songs while eating.
“Yea I know you want to laugh, but I know that girl fits you a lot, Daniel continued.
“Fits me? As in how? Theodore asked.
“You two fit a lot and you know it, I mean your ways are almost alike, Daniel said and Theodore gently got up with his plate of food.
“I think I’ll enjoy this food outside, go wash off the sweats from your body because you stink, Theodore said.
“Yea thanks, and don’t forget to fix your miserable attitude, Daniel replied and burst out laughing while Theodore attempted to throw the plate on him as he ran inside………………
Jennifer walked into the class and sat down quietly while waiting for the lecturer. Having any acquaintance was the last thing on her mind as experience taught her to be a loner, but the gazes she got was what she didn’t understand.
A young girl walked in and sat beside her, she waved at her which Jenny did same.
“Sorry, is there anything on my face? Jenny couldn’t help but ask her.
“No, she replied.
“Thank you, Jenny replied.
“But I think I know why you are asking that. There’s this Instagram video where you embarrassed Theodore, the reactions wasn’t too good, She continued.
“What did you just say? Jennifer asked surprised and the lecturer walked in.
“Almost everyone watched the video and the lecturer is his father, the girl whispered to Jennifer who suddenly got scared.
“What is going to happen now? Jenny asked.
“Who knows, the ladies are angry with you especially a starter like you. Thats not too good I must say, The girl said and concentrated on the lecturer.
“Oh Jennifer not again, she said in her heart scared to look at the lecturer face……………………

vJennifer returned back to her senses after being lost in thought without knowing.
“Yes sir, Jenny said on her feet.
“What was my last sentence? He asked but she just looked around.
“Sorry sir I have no idea, she replied.
“You must be the new student here right? He asked and she nodded.
“Is this how you always stay lost in class in your previous school? He asked.
“Sorry sir it wont happen again, she replied.
“Of course it won’t. For your punishment I want to see you in the Chemistry lab after this lecture, sit down, the man said and concentrated on the class while Jennifer heaved.
Few minutes later the class was over and Jennifer bowed her head,
“Hi why are you troubled? The girl beside her asked.
“No I’m not, just that…… Never mind. Where can I locate the chemistry lab? Jenny asked.
“Will you mind if I take you there? The girl asked and she nodded taking her bag.
“I’m Joy Peters by name, the girl said as they left the class.
“Jennifer Mark, Jenny replied as the stares from the student continued.
“Who the hell is this Theodore guy and what’s so important about him everyone is so interested of? Jenny asked.
“Well he is the most intelligent guy in school in his session, handsome as you can, filthy rich and talented. Have you heard him sing before? His voice is so captivating and he has a lot of fans because of that, Joy replied.
“Just that? I wonder what kind of punishment his dad will have me do, Jenny said.
“I am sure it will be mild, he can’t punish you harshly after all you’re not a kid anymore, Joy replied.
“How old are You? jenny asked.
“Well I’ll be 18 next month, will you come for my birthday party? Joy asked and Jenny smiled.
“Sure and thanks for the invitation, She replied.
“Thank you, and here we are, that’s the laboratory, Joy said pointing at it.
“Oh thanks, see ya, Jenny said and walked into it.
She met the lecturer opening a file and went closer to him,
“You asked to see me sir, she said.
“I didn’t ask to see you, you are here for your punishment, he replied not looking at her.
“Right sir, so here I am, what’s the punishment? She asked and he looked at her.
“What made you absent minded in class? He asked.
“No idea sir, probably the teaching was boring…. Sorry… I mean maybe erm the teaching was strange to me and I couldn’t meet up, Jenny said breathing hard as the man eyes was fixed on her.
“You mean to say my teaching was boring like I can’t lecture or what? He asked.
“No sir, that’s not what I mean. I’m so sorry I said that, it wasn’t intentional please, Jenny quickly said.
“Its fine don’t bother to explain. An experiment was just finished here minutes ago, I want every apparatus to be tidied up and arranged before i get back. And be careful, none should be broken, he said and she nodded dropping her back on the chair she saw.
“What is the first thing you should do? He asked.
“Get my safety wears, she replied.
“At least you were taught well there, the man said and left and Jenny sighed packing her hair in a pony tail……………….
“Just take a look at this, Daniel said showing Theodore his phone.
“Can’t you see I am driving, Theodore said pushing the phone away.
“You need to see this Theo, its an Instagram video of you and that girl of yesterday. 9,000 views already with 2.5k comments, you know what that means right? Daniel asked and Theodore quickly parked the car and got the phone from him.
“Who did this? Theo asked after watching the video.
“Natacha but she wasn’t there, Someone must have done this and sent this to her. Gosh this is bad, Daniel said and Theo was filled with anger as he drove off again.
He arrived school with a mood that gave no one the guts to go near him, “where to now? Daniel asked and he breathed in.
“I’ll go to the lab, there’s an experiment I am observing then I’ll meet you in class, Theo replied.
“OK but hey, don’t say a word to anybody, just let it go, Daniel said tapping him on his shoulder and left.
Theodore got into the lab and saw Jennifer rinsing the pipette and he wondered why as he walked gently behind her.
She noticed someone presence in the lab and turned to see him coming behind her.
“So how are you feeling? He asked her.
“Feeling like what? She asked back.
“You must feel famous and happy I know, you’re the talk of the school now and that’s impressive, he replied.
“Well if that’s what you think, such feelings sucks knowing you’re the cause for that. I rather get famous for something better, by the way who do you think you are? She asked.
“Who is to answer that? Well congratulations on your new fame, he said as she sat down concentrating with what she was doing.
“Can you now leave, as you can see I am busy, she replied him.
“Maybe you should first get out from where I sit, i have something more important to take out of the locker there, Theodore said and she shook her head getting up from there.
“I couldn’t believe that myself, imagine the way she threw the notes on him, two young girls walked into the lab talking and was surprised to see them.
“Hello good morning, thank God I saw you Theo, can you help with this problem please? One of the girls asked bringing out a book.
“I am busy right now, he replied.
“Oh no please I’ve been looking for You and I need to submit this soon, The girl insisted with a sad look.
“If you don’t mind can I help with it? Jennifer asked and they looked at her.
“What can a rude girl do about this? By the way I wasn’t asking for your help, the girl replied and Jenny swallowed nodding while Theodore just smiled.
“If she want to help why not give her a try, I’ll do some corrections if there are any, Theo said to her.
“Are you sure about that? She asked not knowing how to approach Jennifer anymore but he got the book from her.
“OK miss can you help me with this, he said keeping the note on the table for her.
“I don’t want to do it anymore, Jenny replied.
“Oh common, don’t tell me little words like that can get to you. Just get that done okay, he said to her and left to his seat while Jenny just looked at him.
“So are they going to just stand there while I solve? How are they going to learn? Jenny asked and the girls slowly approached her.
Jennifer heaved and taught them as Theodore couldn’t help but get interested in her teachings.
“So that’s the final answer, cleared now? Jenny asked and the girls nodded and Theodore clapped without him knowing which they looked at him.
“Impressive, he said getting up to meet them.
“Alright thank you, bye Theodore, the girls said waving at them and left while Jennifer took her bag ready to leave too.
“Take care of the lab and make sure you don’t break anything, Jenny said to him and left while he just kept smiling at her saying nothing………………… there

Jennifer hurried to the hall where she is to attend her other lecture and saw Joy who beckoned on her to where she sat, “so how was it? Joy asked when Jennifer settled down beside her.
“It wasn’t too bad, I was just asked to tidy up some apparatus there, Jenny replied.
“So miss…….. “Jennifer rather, Jenny cuts in.
“Sorry Jennifer, your action was quite funny, I mean you’re barely 2 days here and you’ve put up quite a show and already insulted our icon. What were you thinking? A guy asked sitting next to her.
“Well I am so sorry I didn’t realise he was your Darling icon, but I think an icon to me should be friendly, loving and………. “What gives you the mentality that he isn’t? Some group of student shouted interrupting her.
“That was what he proved to me and I know you know the truth also but you’re just blinded with his looks whatever. So what are you guys gonna do? Beat me up huh? Jennifer angrily asked.
“Are you this tough or trying to be one? Will you stand the heat or do you need an eye pick? One guy asked coming from behind approaching Jennifer.
“Oh please pardon her, I’ll say it was an act of ignorance and she wasn’t aware. Can we just pardon her for today? I am very sure it won’t repeat itself again, Joy came in getting on her feet.
“stay out of this, if she wants to prove tough then we’ll show her the stuff we are made of, The guy said and Jenny smiled.
“I can’t believe you’re fighting for a guy your different girlfriends are crushing on. So you’ll know, at any opportunity they have they wish they will hold him tight in their bosom, so pathetic, Jennifer said and they gasped looking among themselves

“You all need apologies right? Fine I’m sorry, it won’t happen again okay, Jennifer continued and removed her headphones and put it on while they just looked at her not knowing what to say………………….
Theodore checked his time and saw he was running late for his lecture, “shit! He said returning his experiment back and hurried out of the laboratory.
“Hello handsome, rushing somewhere? Natasha asked stopping him.
“What do you want? He asked.
“We can’t greet friendly again or what? Common Theo don’t be this way always, She said.
“After what you did? I mean what was that for? What image were you trying to create huh! Theo shouted.
“Calm down its not what you’re thinking, she said.
“Then tell me what I and the whole students are thinking. That was an embarrassing moment and all you could do was post it on Instagram to put shame on my face or what? He asked.
“It was just for fun darling, anyway who is that girl? She asked.
“Get out of my sight! Theo said and walked away.
“I’m sorry okay, I’ll get it deleted right away, Natasha said but he didn’t look back………………
Done with Lectures, Jenny and Joy walked out of the building together, “it was really a long day today, Jenny said.
“Yea it was, please what happened back there wasn’t a joke. you need to be careful Jennifer, you just came and you’re already shaking foundations, Joy replied and she rolled her eyes.
“What do you want me to do? Keep shut and swallow their rubbish? Look I am no novice, I was suppose to be in my finals and here i am starting all over again. I am no ordinary fresher, I’ve been in this system before and nothing is new to me, just relax okay I’m cool, Jenny said touching her shoulder while Joy looked at her surprised.
“What happened? I mean why did you leave? Joy asked.
“Nah I don’t want to dig it out, see ya tomorrow, Jenny said waving at her and walked away.
She stopped at an ice cream stand and requested for a strawberry flavour, “thank you, she said paying the man and walked away with her ice cream..
Going a few mile away from the ice cream stand she saw some group of ladies approached her with a stern look.
That wasn’t her business as she enjoyably licked her ice cream and wanted passing them but one of the girls dragged her back making the ice cream fall from her hand.
“Excuse me, what’s that for? Jennifer asked.
“That’s for passing us like we were not noticed. I saw your little show on the first day you arrived school, what a bold fresher you must be, Natasha replied and Jenny scoffed.
“Are everyone this jobless and gullible here? I mean what’s so important about my show? With the popularity I am getting from it I think I should do more of it often, what do You think? Jenny asked.
“Don’t be stupid, I won’t bloody care if it was done with another person but stay clear from Theodore, take your joke far from him, Natasha said and She smiled.
“With that jerk? Don’t worry I will gladly stay clear from him, in fact I can’t imagine my self with such a being. I can’t believe I lost my sweet ice cream for some nonsense talk and let this be the first and last time you will do this, Excuse me, Jennifer said and walked away while the girls looked at themselves surprised.
“what are we going to do with her? One of them asked.
“Let her be for now and let’s watch her fly more wings, Natacha replied looking at Jennifer……………….
Jennifer arrived home and met her roommates with a packet of Pizza, “you look tired what’s wrong? Annabel asked.
“Girls your school is just filled with mad people, Jenny replied taking a slice of it.
“Wait, so you mean to say we are equally mad? Treasure asked and Jennifer laughed.
“That’s not what I mean, she replied.
“Lest I forget, I saw you on a video today. Why didn’t you tell us you encountered such an ordeal with Theodore yesterday? Annabel asked and Jenny sighed lying on the bed with her eyes tightly closed.
“Jennifer I am talking to you, Annabel called out again and Jenny opened her eyes.
“What should I say and what should i do now? Isn’t it great, Jennifer Mark is popular and trending on Instagram barely 2 days of her stay in school. Girls please i am so tired, she said getting up to the fridge to get a chill water to drink.
“I can’t believe this. Stop stirring this wave Jennifer, it won’t be good, Treasure said.
“No matter the wave, Jennifer is strong to sail through, join in her spirit too so You won’t crash, Jenny replied smiling.
“That wasn’t funny Jenny, we are damn serious here, Treasure said but Jennifer was less concerned……………….
The next day the lecture was to be held in different classroom Jennifer couldn’t locate,
“Excuse me, where is room Sc4 please? She stopped someone.
“Go straight and make a left turn, the guy replied.
“Thank you, Jennifer said and left and the guy laughed at her together with his friends.
She got there and noticed there were no classrooms but offices, “shit did I lost the way or something? She asked herself confused and she saw Theodore coming out from one of the rooms.
She removed her gaze from him with a worried look as she stood wondering if to go back or not,
“And what is she doing here? Theodore asked with his hand placed on the wall looking at her.
“I think I’ve lost my way, I was actually looking for Room Sc4 and i was directed here, she replied immediately and he smiled.

Jennifer saw another student and asked about the class room which she directed her, she hurried back and noticed the said classroom was just opposite where she asked the guy who directed her wrongly.
She stood outside with an angry look and the lecturer turned to her,
“Can I help you young lady? He asked.
“yes sir, can I come in please? She asked and she sighted the guy who gave her the wrong direction smiling.
“Sorry ma, everyone is expected to be seated before I come in. You have to wait for the next class, can you please excuse us, the man said and she nodded and stood by the side with her heart swelling.
Minutes later the class was over and the students began to leave in their numbers, “Jennifer why did you come late? Sorry I forgot to tell you no one comes late to his class, Joy said but she was only silent looking at the door.
The guy came out talking with his friends and she stood in front of him, “what’s this? The guy asked.
“You dare ask me that? If you didn’t want to tell me the direction you shouldn’t have bothered replying me in the first place rather than acting like a coward, Jennifer replied.
“Watch your tongue, he said.
“But you’re a coward, a frustrated and miserable coward thats what you are! Jennifer shouted and he attempted to slap her but she held his hand up.

The noise outside alerted the students in the cafe and they ran out to see Natasha on the floor as Jennifer was seriously giving her the beatings of her life.
They got separated and Jennifer carried her bag as the student looked at her confused, “enough of this madness all of you, I come here in peace but I am so sorry I won’t tolerate any rubbish from any of you, Jennifer said and left.
“It’s not over yet, Natasha said inside of her as she watched angrily.
“Jennifer, Joy called out looking at her sadly and she stopped.
“I am very sorry, I have to go home now, Jenny replied.

Theo friends used the opportunity of the fight to smuggle him out as he was filled with shame, “I don’t understand, why is it always war between you and that girl? Daniel asked him when they got home.

Jennifer was just about opening her door when her phone began to ring with a strange number calling, “hello, she picked up inserting the key in her door.
“Jennifer Mark on phone right? A male voice came on phone.
“Yes, she replied.
“I’m calling from the school, I need to see you right now in my office, the voice said.
“Sorry who is speaking? Jenny asked.
“The school authority, don’t keep me waiting, The man said and dropped the call while Jennie heaved and locked the door back.
She hurried back to school and located the administrative office.
“Sorry I’m here…… “Jennifer Marks right? The secretary asked interrupting her.
“Sure yes, Jennie replied.
“Go in, she said and she went in to see Natasha, Theodore and some people she has no idea about.
“Good morning all, she greeted holding the handle of the door.
“Can you give me one good reason why you kept us waiting for you Jennifer? A man asked which she recognised his voice as the one who called her.
“Sorry sir I went home already, I had to come back immediately I got the call, she replied.
“You went home already too quick because you know what you did right? The man asked.
“I’m still yet to know what I did, and am sorry if I arrived late, Jenny replied.
‘Sit down, the man said pointing at an empty seat just beside Theodore which she sat down without looking at him.
“I hope you know why you’re here right? The man asked.
“I wish I do but actually I was planning of coming here myself, Jenny replied.
“You wanted coming here? For what actually? The man asked keeping his pen looking at her.
“The uncalled behavior in the school, it was getting too much which I wanted letting you know about it, Jenny replied.
“Shut that trap of yours there! You can’t be molesting students and act innocently, a woman said angrily.
“Molesting students? Like seriously? Jenny asked back.
“Enough! Jennifer what happened today? This is the second video of you and Theodore in just your 3 days in school. Aren’t you ashamed of yourself? The man asked.
“Ashamed of myself? I see no reason for that sir. Last I checked, he is always the one pissing me off, Jenny replied.

“OK here it is, on my first day in school after I was done with lectures, I was fiddling my phone to call my mom when he bashed on me disfiguring my phone. I couldn’t get a sorry or a calming word from him but only irritating words and some miserable notes I tore on his face.
Now today I was just at the cafe when he came all by himself and called me names like i’m nothing, a****le, b***h and the list continues. So I showed him how a b***h should behave, is that my fault? Jennifer asked them.
“Theodore is this true? The man asked.
“Sir you don’t need to believe the trash she just said, it holds no fact at all, Natasha came in..
“Oh is it? Fine, did you hit my phone or not? She asked facing Theo.
“I did, he replied.
“Good, didn’t you approach me in the cafe to call me names? Jenny asked.
“You called for it when you acted rudely commanding me to get out of your sight! Theo shouted.
“And you caused it when you left me stranded this morning looking for a classroom when you know I was running late. You said you didn’t know me just when I needed your help, now why won’t I ask you to get out of my sight? You are Barbaric! Jenny shouted.
“Enough! Does that give you the right to disrespect him that way and beat Natasha up the way you did? Were you not trained in your former school? With this attitude of yours here in just few days, I now understand why you were expelled in your finals. Here you are shamelessly behaving like a kid with no remorse, what kind of a girl are you! The man shouted.
“With due respect sir, you have no idea why I was expelled and i see no reason why you should bring it up here. I wasn’t acting childishly but unfortunately your students are all insane. The video that was posted between I and this dude made all the students hate me without cause, were you expecting me to keep calm?
This morning I asked for direction to locate a classroom only to be purposely directed wrongly so I can miss the class. This dude met me and after knowing my problem he walked out of me leaving me stranded, and yes I had to approach the guy when I saw him seated in the same class receiving lecture while I was outside. How is that fair?
Now about Natasha or whatever she is called, I don’t know her from anywhere. But just yesterday she and her gang approached me hitting the ice cream I held just to warn me to stay clear from her boyfriend. And when she heard what happened to her boyfriend today, she held my hair first which I retaliated and it led to the fight.
If you should ask me, your school isn’t organized and it sucks, Jennifer seriously said with tears piled up in her eyes as the room was silent to the core and Theodore father coughed.
“Is there anything you two want to say? He asked referring to Natasha and Theodore.
“She’s lying, why would I approach her? Natasha asked.
“Why won’t you? when its you that started this whole mess because you posted the video on Instagram, or didn’t you? Jennifer asked immediately.
“I wasn’t talking to you, Natasha shouted.
“Oh shut up, Jennifer shouted back.
“Jennifer, please can you excuse us? The man said.
“With all pleasure sir, she replied and left immediately.
“Did you just see that? That girl is just a spoilt brat and a bunch of trouble to this institution. I think she should be laid off too, A woman spoke up.
“Expel? We don’t know who is saying the truth here yet and that will be too quick to carry out such a decision, Theo father came in.
“Excuse me, do you realize it is my daughter that was beaten up this way? The woman asked.
“And my son was equally embarrassed and posted on Instagram by your daughter, did I kill anybody? By the way don’t Natasha have a gang? It is very possible what the young girl said is true, Theo father said.
“Why are you covering up for this girl? You’re beginning to sound like a betrayer. Remember my daughter is in this mess because of your son,the woman said.
“Oh really? I am standing on nobody side here ma’am, in case you’ve forgotten my loving son is here and he’s part of this case too which I am sure he didn’t begged your daughter to be part of it, Theo father replied.
“Please its okay, I’ve heard the both of you and have made my decision. We have to give Jennifer another chance again in this institution but If she messes up again, we will have to let her go. She can’t afford to hurt anybody again, The administrator came in..
“Oh i see, so what should be done to my daughter? The woman asked and the man heaved and made a call.
“Let her in, he said and dropped the call.
Jennifer who went outside tried not to cry but she couldn’t help but get scared wondering what their decision will be.
She feared for her mom who will be so disappointed she’ll be dropped again in the second university.
She thought about all of that with her eyes closed and she heard her name, “Jennifer you can go in, the secretary said and she nodded trying to put herself together…………………………

You both are in your finals and she’s just a fresher, give yourself that respect okay, The man said and they nodded.
“And again Jennifer, you wounded Natasha and ruined her clothes which you have to pay for the damages, the man continued.
“No way I don’t need her filthy money, my daughter has enough money and dresses to give out and I will treat her wounds. Just stay clear from my daughter else I’ll deal with you, Natasha mom came in.
“OK I think that will be all for now, you can all go, The man said.
“Thank you sir, Jennifer said and was about to get up.
“So won’t I get an apology from her for what she did? Natasha asked.
“Just what I was thinking, a man said supporting her.
“Jennifer what do you have to say? The school authority asked.
“I am sorry but please stay very far from me and I hope the students will be called to order also to avoid such issues again, Jennifer replied.
“The information will be given out, and also if there’s anything I need to know don’t hesitate to let me know, the man said.
“Thats a relief sir, thanks again, Jennifer said and left immediately.
Natasha went out with Theodore as the meeting continued inside with the rest, “she’s so unimaginable, Natasha said to Theo.
“So you still go about telling people I am your boyfriend? Theo asked.
“Common Theo please don’t start, she replied.
“Don’t start what when you’re the originator of everything. We are done Natasha stop the fake claiming, I am not your boyfriend! Theo shouted and walked away while she ran after him.
“I don’t believe that, I am the only girl you can love in this school and no girl can stand my class here. Didn’t you say you go for class? She said to him.
“Obviously it can’t be your type of class, just leave me alone, Theo said.
“Theo stop this, how long will I apologize for what I did when we got admission together. “Sorry, Daniel said and swallowed.
“I want to concentrate, Theo said and he nodded leaving the lab slowly………………..
Lydia who left after Natasha outburst returned and met Natasha still in that mood.
“I brought some news for you, Lydia said.
“Then say it, Natasha said not looking at her..
“Jennifer Marks, 20 years old……… “I don’t bloody care! Natasha shouted.

“This is so embarrassing, jenny said and Damian held her as they walked together which Daniel and Theodore was watching them from the car when they arrived school.
“I don’t trust this Damian of a guy, must he approach every pretty girl in school? Gosh i can’t forget what he did to Natasha knowing she is….. … ….”Daniel it’s enough okay, let’s go, Theo said taking off his seat belt hurriedly.
Getting off the car Natacha stormed into school dressed stunning and Theodore rolled his eyes as she was approaching him.

“Can you excuse us? I need to talk with her, the guy said referring to Joy.

“What’s that for? I want to talk to you is that a big deal? The guy asked.
“I can’t remember she stopping you from talking, I guess you don’t have anything to say, please excuse us, Jenny said and was about to walk away.
“You’re so irritating! Just an innocent chat with you are feeling like I am already asking you for sex when I can buy you anytime on my bed if I want to! He shouted and Jenny looked at him.
“Well you couldn’t beat the price so don’t blame me I refused you, I don’t go for cigarette size that can’t last for a minute, go work on your lazy a**! Jennifer shouted back that made the student laughed.

Jennifer heaved and got a glass of juice from the freezer but Theodore came in her head.
“Does he see me as an enemy now? I don’t know why am feeling this bad after knowing he’s a jerk, but the way he ignores me kind of hurt a lot, Jenny thought and decided to take a walk..
The street was quite busy as Jennifer strolled with her earphones on, she sighted Theodore and slowly removed the earphones and wished he could just talk to her.
Suddenly a young girl who was riding a bicycle fell from it spraining her leg which Theodore went to her lifting her up,
“Are you hurt? Theodore asked kneeling down to check her legs.
“My ankle hurts, the girl replied and Jennifer quickly approached them..
“Let me see, Theodore said touching the place slowly as she showed expression of pain.
“You can tie this on her, Jennifer said pointing her kerchief.
“It’s just a little injure and you’ll be fine, Theodore said and brought out his own kerchief and tied it around her ankle.
“Are you good now? Can you manage to ride home? He asked.
“Yes I will thank you, she replied..
“Be sure you show your parent that so they’ll do something about it, he said setting the bicycle for her.
“What about your kerchief sir? She asked.
“Well you can keep that, be careful okay, he said as she climbed on it.
“Thanks I will, she said and rode off as Jennifer just watched silently quite surprised with the gentle way he behaved and Theodore walked away without saying a word to her.
She wanted calling his name to stop him but she lost the boldness to and a call came on her phone.
“Dad is that you? She asked when she picked up.
“Jennifer how you doing? He asked.
“I can’t believe you are asking me that after 6 months of not hearing a word from you. How is your mistress? Jennifer asked..
“How’s your mom? Looks like she changed her line, he said.
“I see you tried it, so why are you calling? She asked.
“Like i don’t have the right to call my daughter? He asked.

Theodore arrived home and saw Daniel reading, “hey where did you go to? Daniel asked when he entered.
“I just had a quiet walk, taking you with me will be like taking trouble, Theo replied taking a plastic water from the freezer.
“I get it, so I am trouble now? Daniel asked nodding and took his phone.
“I’ll be outside, Theo said and was about to go out.
“wait you need to see this, it was posted a hour ago about Jennifer, Daniel said giving him his phone
“Not again please, I am sick and tired of Jennifer stories, Theo said not taking the phone from him..
“A guy just recently posted saying Jennifer publicly insulted him in just wanting to have an innocent chat with her, Daniel said.
“So? What does that have to do with me? Theo asked.
“I know she can’t do that without a cause and he’s going to tell the school authority about it which is not good, please Theo do something, Daniel pleaded and Theodore burst out laughing.
“What’s seriously wrong with you Daniel? I think you’re getting crazy over this girl, are you in love with her? Theo asked and Daniel sighed.
“Must every sign of affection be that kind of love? I just like her and i don’t want her to leave. Her kind of person thrills me and I just love it, Daniel replied.
“Please Daniel carry on with your reading okay and stop bugging yourself Jennifer matters, Theo said.
“But you’ll do something about this right? Daniel asked.

“I feel so weak right now, I just want to sit down alone, Jenny said.

“Jennifer? Joy sadly called out but she walked away and slowly went to the school park and sat down alone.
The constant reminder of her rustication was tearing her apart as she sat crying on her own.
“Will i ever get through this or should I just drop and accept my fate? Its obviously not working for me, why am I always rejected everywhere I go? She cried out losing hope already.
Minutes later she got a call from Joy which she had to put herself together and picked up,
“Jenny where are you? Our department is having a serious meeting, Joy said.
“Right now? Jenny asker.
“Yes, we are heading there now. Where are you? Joy asked.
“At the school park, I’ll be coming out now, Jennifer said cleaning her face.
“We are waiting okay, please Hurry up, Joy said and dropped the call.
Minutes later they arrived at a hall and sat down as the HOD of the department of Parasitology addressed them.
“Its so nice to welcome you all again to our first meeting, especially to our new admitted student this will be new to you but we normally do this yearly. I also want to apologize for the short notice, yet the turn up is applaudable, I really appreciate you am and thank you, please celebrate yourselves, he said and the students applauded.
“Alright for the first time this year we are going to do something different. We will be going out for so many trips in search of parasites, there will be a lot of researches we are going to do to gather more idea about this parasites and make you all understand and give you all deeper insights about your course of study. I hope you all love it? He asked.
“Yes we do! The students shouted.
“I’m glad you do. Everyone will be involved and none will be exempted from our new intake to the finals. Our coming together is to achieve a purpose which is to learn, which means in that trip there is no seniority whatever there. If you are in your finals please swallow it and work together with anyone you will be joined as s partner, don’t forget a report must be submitted and you’ll be scored with that.
Your different names and passports has already been complied and will be displayed right away in the projector, and when once you see your name with that of your partner, quickly identify whoever it is and get prepared for the trip in 1 week time.
Have a good day students, the man concluded and left the stage.

“I want same too, Jennifer replied and the names and passports of the students were displayed as everyone seriously looked to know his/her partner.

Theodore approached the HOD telling him he made a mistake with the name, “sorry I didn’t compile that, the man replied.
“But sir I can’t partner with such a person, we are in no terms, Theo said.
“Then you have to settle whatever differences you two may have or Better still talk with who compiled the names, the man replied.
“Who can that be? Theo asked.
“Your father, please I have to attend to something important now, The man said and left while Theodore stood in anger.
“Why should he do this to me! He shouted and left……………….
“But this is pure wickedness, he doesn’t like me to start with, how can we cope? Jennifer asked when she told her room mates the turn up of event.

After the lecture they left the class together as Jennifer mood was a bit brightened up, “you haven’t shown me the library yet, that’s a big crime you know, Jenny said.
“Library? You didn’t ask to know, Gladys said.
“But you should know I need it, I’ll love to go there please to ease my mood, Jenny said.
“Alright fine if you say so, Joy said and they left heading to the library.
Jenny did the necessary registration she is to do and she gave her bag to Joy who offered to hold it for her.
“Don’t forget the next class, Gladys said.
‘Sure, bye dear, Jenny replied and got inside.
Her eyes met with Theodore immediately she stepped in and her legs immediately got weak, she moved slowly to the books section has she suddenly had no idea of the book to pick.
She angrily took any book without looking at the name and summoned courage to sit closer to him.
Theodore was not bothered as he concentrated with his book like she was not noticed while Jenny kept stealing glazes at him.
Few minutes later she saw Theodore closing the book and stood to return it while she did too and met him at the book shelf,
“Hi, she said to him but he was silent.
“Can we at least talk? Jenny asked.
“You’re talking already ma’am, he replied..
“OK erm about yesterday erm… The partnering stuff for the trip what are we going to do? Jenny asked.
“What are we going to do? I am fighting to see my name will be withdrawn from yours, excuse me, Theodore said and walked away while she swallowed.
She dropped the book and ran after him meeting him outside, “don’t think I want this either but we have to accept it. I promise to be my best just for the sake of this, am sorry if I’ve wronged you, Jennifer said and Theodore looked at her and smiled.
“What’s bringing all of this up? don’t tell me its because of the trip for you see I am so sorry to say I won’t be participating in it. You can do your research peaceful because I can’t stand seeing you beside me, have a good day, Theodore said.
“I don’t blame you, you really think I love the sight of you in the first place huh? F**k you! Jennifer blurred out and walked out of him while he stood looking at her……………..
“The batch will be released tomorrow and the overall we are going to put on, I heard we will be dealing more of uniforms to make it colorful and organised. Have you talked with Jennifer yet? Daniel asked.
“Can’t you say something important for once in your Life? Theodore angrily asked.
“But she’s your partner and I am not wrong to ask about her, Daniel said.
“It will interest you to know I am not going and no one will force me to, Theo replied.
“No you must be joking, this is an adventure we will learn a lot, what is wrong with you! Daniel shouted.
“That is not your business and f**k whatever adventure that will be if I am going with a girl like Jennifer. Why didn’t they just put me alone? Theo shouted.
“I can’t believe you can turn up this way, is Jennifer really your problem in life? Daniel asked.
“Just leave me alone and stop forcing me to do things outside my will, Theo said.
“Suit yourself! Daniel shouted and left while Theo heaved rubbing his head not knowing what to do………………
“That guy is such a jerk! Going with him there is a big no for me and that will never happen gosh! Jennifer exclaimed when she met her friends in class which they sat not understanding anything.
“Can you please calm down and say what the problem is? Joy asked.
“The Theodore of a human being isn’t going because of me, jenny replied.
“But why? They asked.
“I just said because of me, to him he cant stand to see me what rubbish, Jennifer angrily said and Joy heaved.
“Look If they can’t accept me working without a partner, I won’t f*****g care and I wont go! Jenny added.
‘Please don’t say that. Oh God why is this happening? Gladys said not knowing what to say………………
The HOD called Theodore to his office showing him the microscopes and every apparatus needed for the research as they were packaged in his office,
‘I am putting this in your care, you and your partner have to be careful and watchful with them, none should get missing, the HOD said.
“Sorry sir can I ask a question? Theo asked.
“Go on, he replied.
“Is it mandatory every student must have a partner and what will happen if a student fails to go? Theodore asked.
“It is more than Mandatory to participate in this and failure of any student to attend, its total failure. The assessment will be marked for those who obeyed to embark on the trip and it will be assumed you’ve written your exams when the reports you and your partner will be assessed. In other words, if a student doesn’t participate, that’s automatically an extra year and yes, every student must have a partner, the HOD replied.
“But sir, sorry to say i think that’s ridiculous, Theodore said.
“That will be over for now Theodore, when next i need your presence I’ll call you, The HOD said and Theodore slowly left confused………………

One week later, the students of the department of Parasitology was already outside the school gate with their traveling bags as the luxuious buses was parked.
Jennifer stood with her friends scared as her eyes kept going through the students there.
“Hello Jennifer, she heard her name and turned to see Daniel.
“Hi, she replied.
“I see you’re set to go, he said.
“Yes but I don’t know if I can, she said.
“Because of Theodore? He asked and she nodded.
“He’s not coming and I don’t know if I will be paired with another person, I’m so worried now, Jenny said and Daniel phone began to ring.
“Why are you calling? Daniel asked seeing who it is.
“Meet me in the HOD office now, Theodore said and dropped the call.
“Don’t worry too much okay, I’ll be back, Daniel said and hurried off.
He met Theodore bringing the cartons of the Microscopes and other apparatus outside to be put in a special car that will transport it.
“Why are you doing this? Daniel asked.
“Isn’t it obvious? I have no choice, help me with this, Theodore said.
“So you mean you are coming? Daniel asked and he nodded.
“So why are you calling me? You are to do all of this with your partner, so call her up because I am busy, Daniel said and Theodore looked at him..
“Daniel this is delicate okay, let’s say I don’t want to stress Jennifer, now help me do this, Theodore said.
“Fine, you can do it yourself after all you said you can do everything alone, excuse me, Daniel said and left surprising Theodore who just stood speechless looking at him.
Daniel went to Jennifer and tapped her behind, “hi you’re back, Jenny said.
“Yea, Theodore needs your help now, Daniel replied.
“My help? She asked.
“He’s coming with us, and the HOD has already put the apparatus in you and Theodore charge, he’s trying to bring them out, Daniel replied..
“Really, what are we waiting for let’s go, Jenny happily said and put her bags in Joy charge.
Daniel pointed at the office and left while Jennifer slowly got nearer.
“Be careful with that sir its fragile, She heard Theodore telling the driver who was putting the stuffs at the back of the truck..
Theodore turned and saw Jennifer, “what are you doing here? He asked but she ignored and lifted a carton of it to the truck.
Minutes later the Hod and other lecturers of the department arrived, “are you guys done? They asked.
“Almost done sir, Jenny replied.
“OK please see that none gets damaged, its very important because if any get broken the student will be Affected. Every pair of student will have a microscope, there will be no sharing of microscopes so you guys need to be careful. That is money, the Hod said and they nodded.
“OK hurry up with it and call me on phone, there’s still a lot we need to do okay before we take off, The Hod said and hurried off with the lecturers.
“Are you tired? Theodore asked when he saw Jennifer heaved, but she ignored him and proceeded in the parking.
Minutes later they were done and Theodore called up the Hod to let him know.
Jennifer got a call immediately from Joy, “hello am just done just waiting for the Hod, jenny picked up.
“We are getting into the buses now and we are asked to sit in pairs. Please hurry, Joy said.
“Oh okay, Jenny said and looked at Theodore not knowing how to tell him..
“What’s wrong? Theodore asked but she was silent.
The Hod was seen coming and he saw everything needed for the research was parked neatly into the truck.
“OK this is good, he said nodding inspecting it.
“Sorry sir what about the buses? I left my bag there, Jenny said.
“Your bag is there? Theodore what about you? The Hod asked.
“My bag is with me, he replied and Damian was seen bringing a bag approaching them..
“That’s mine, Jenny said taking it from him.
“Sir the buses are filled and I was told the bag belongs to her, Damian said.
“Oh yea, so there’s no seat for them? A lecturer asked.
“Not at all sir, he replied.
“Is there any student left? The Hod asked..
“No sir everyone is in, he replied..
“Alright thanks for that, The Hod said and Damian smiled holding Jenny hands.
“Safe journey and be careful okay, he said.
“Thank you bye, Jenny said waving at him as he left.
“Uhmm are you two couples? A lecturer asked..
“No sir just a friend, Jenny replied and Theodore sneezed.
“Sorry I’ll go get my bag inside, Theodore said and went in.
“What are we going to do now with them? A lecturer asked.
“They can sit with Me, the front seat will be okay for them, the driver came in..
“Excellent! The Hod exclaimed and Theodore came out with his bag.
“Sorry Theodore you’re gonna use the truck with Jennifer, I hope you’re not angry? The Hod asked.
“Where are we going to sit? Theodore asked.
“At the front, its gonna be okay alright, the Hod said.
“Is she okay with it? Theodore asked referring to Jennifer.
“What do you say Jenny? A lecturer asked.
“Its okay sir as long as we will get there safely, she replied.
“Thats nice, please go in while I put your bags safely at the back, The Hod said and they went to the front which Jennifer was having difficulty to climb.
Theodore saw that and smiled as Jennifer was not ready to ask for help, she wanted turning to tell the lecturers but surprisedly Theodore held her by the waist and lift her up.
“Why did you do that! She shouted.
“You were wasting my time, he replied and climbed also shutting the door.
“Are you two cool? The Hod asked.
“Yes sir, Theodore replied but Jenny sat with a frown.
“Please drive to the gate, we are taking off together with the luxurious buses, we will be there soon okay, the Hod said and the Driver drove off.
The truck was just behind the buses and Joy called again,
“Where are you Jennifer? She asked
“Just behind you don’t worry, Jenny replied.
“You’re not using the buses? She asked.
“Nope, we are coming with the apparatus, Jenny replied.
“I don’t like this, I wanted us to sit near its boring here, Joy said.
“Its boring here too but don’t worry we will see soon okay. Bye, Jenny said and dropped the call while Theodore shook his head when he listened to the conversation, he brought out his earphones to keep himself company.
Jennifer remembered she left hers and looked at Theodore angrily who didn’t care.
Five minutes later the buses began to move and the journey began, on the way Jennifer was already dozing off and Theodore saw it.
He took off his earphones looking at her as her head was bending to the driver.
He gently took it and kept it on his shoulder and she slept peacefully……………

There was a jerk in the truck that woke Jennifer up, she raised her head slowly wondering how she got her head on Theodore shoulder.
“You’re awake? Theodore asked but she cleaned her face without saying a word to him.
“You know you look more better when you act like a dumb, I love the development, Theodore said.
“Is the journey still far sir? Jenny asked the driver.
“Well its a remote village we are going to and yes we still have a hour or so to get there, but we agreed to stop somewhere for the student to stretch out and take a break before we proceed, the man replied.
“Gosh! Jenny exclaimed.
“Don’t worry we will get there soon, the man said.
Jenny phone began to ring and it was her mom calling,
“Hello mommy, jenny picked up.
“Don’t tell me you still went ahead for that journey, her mom said.
“Mom its compulsory and I had no choice……… “Well you have a choice! What kind of a school is that taking people children to where their parents have no idea about. How is that fair with the money I’ve spent there! Her mom shouted.
“Mom can you calm down please, its a research work and everyone will be fine please, Jenny said.
“You’ll be fine there for a week? What type of a stupid research is that? Her mom asked and Jenny rolled her eyes..
“Sorry mom but I have to speak with you later, here is not a good place to talk this over again, Jenny said.
“You better be sure you get back safe and sound else you’ll get it hot from me, her mom said and dropped the call and Jenny heaved.
Theodore was busy looking at her all these while and quickly removed his eyes to the road when she was done with the call,
“What were you busy looking at? Jennifer asked.
“Are you talking to me? He asked.
“Unfortunately I am, she replied and his phone began to ring too..
“Hello dad, Theodore picked up.
“How are you doing there? He asked.
“I would have loved to answer you but sadly you were not able to see me before we took off so you’ll know the condition I am right now, Theodore replied.
“I don’t understand, are you not comfortably seated? He asked.
“Maybe I would have been if I was seated with a reasonable being at least, sadly its the opposite, Theodore said and Jennifer angrily looked at him.
“Theodore its just for a week okay and I know there’s a lot of things you are going to learn and experiences you won’t forget. Try to pinch out the fun from that adventure alright, His dad said.
“Do I have a choice? Don’t worry I’ll be fine, take care, Theodore said..
“Bye son, he said and the line went dead.
“Did you just refer that to me? Jenny immediately asked.
“Last I checked I was talking with my dad and whatever I will say to him is strictly none of your business. And again, I can’t remember calling your name in our discussion or are you suddenly trying to let me notice you again? Theodore asked.
“Not even in your wildest dreams, Jennifer blurred out and he burst out laughing.
“You weren’t trying to get me notice you when you tried giving me your kerchief to tie on that little girl leg huh? Or you weren’t trying to get my attention at least when you wanted dressing like Natasha right? Theodore asked and Jenny smiled.
“So because I showed concern to the little girl means I was trying to get you notice me? And who said my dressing was to mimic anybody or get your filthy attention? Jenny asked back.
“Swallow your pride because its so obvious you’re already falling for me, I know this signs more better okay, Theodore said and put on his headphones before Jenny could say anything.
“Is this how you two fight? You remind me of my campus sweetheart years ago, the driver said smiling at them but Jennifer was silent thinking about what Theodore just said and swore to pay back.
Few minutes later the truck came to a stop at the back of the school buses which Theodore came out and shut the door back like Jennifer wasn’t coming down..
Jennifer sighed and came down on her own which she met Joy coming to her and gave her a hug,
“Not to bad, she said referring to the truck..
“Let’s not talk about it, what’s up for refreshment? Jennifer said taking her away from the truck.
“Cheese burger and yoghurt, Joy replied.
“Uhm sounds delicious, where’s Gladys? Jenny asked.
“She’s busy with her boyfriend partner, Joy replied.
“Boyfriend? They have fallen In love already? Jenny asked.
“There you see, Joy replied and Jenny smiled at that.
“But what’s wrong with your partner? You seem not to like him, Jenny said.
“Gosh Jenny everything about that guy is a no for me, he talks too much and it pisses me off. To crown It all his talking really makes no sense to me, so annoying, Joy blurred out and Jenny burst out laughing.
“Sorry I can’t help but laugh now, when I was complaining about mine you were standing like a motivational speaker, Now here you are, Jenny said.
“Yea yea go ahead and laugh, lets go take our refreshment, Joy said as the students were seen heading to a place.
Jennifer looked back and saw Theodore going to seat back in the truck not interested with whatever is going on, “isn’t he coming? Joy asked Jenny.
“How am I suppose to know? Maybe he’s watching over the truck let’s go, Jenny replied and they left……………….
Minutes later they returned and Theodore stepped down when he saw Jenny coming, Jenny stood looking at the truck wondering how she’s going to climb it when Theodore wasn’t looking at her either but concentrating on his phone.
“Hey, Theodore heard a voice and turned to see Daniel.
“Hey too, quite surprised you’re here, Theodore replied.
“I didn’t see you over there, Daniel said.
“Like you Care, Theodore replied but Daniel stretch forth a bag for him.
“That’s yours, Daniel said and he slowly got it from him.
“I was only angry with you bro but i wont stop to care, I have to go now, Daniel said and turned to leave.
“Daniel, Theodore called out and he stopped.
“Thank you, Theodore said and hugged him smiling.
“Its nothing, I think someone needs help at your back, Daniel said referring to Jennifer.
“Hurry up now bye, Theodore said pushing him away as he left laughing at them.
“Will you please stop wasting my time over there, Theodore said to Jennifer who angrily looked at him and hissed.
She tried climbing again in that anger to prove she can actually climb, but she fell which her left leg went behind her causing a sprain.
She let out a soft cry and Theodore quickly went to her but she beat his hand off from her,
“Get your filthy hands from me! She shouted and the driver came.
“What happened to you? He asked helping her up.
“I wanted climbing up but i couldn’t, she replied while Theodore folded his hand looking at her.
“Am so sorry for that, i hope you didn’t hurt yourself? He asked.
“Actually my ankle, but don’t worry I’ll be fine, she replied.
“Let me help you up then, the driver said and helped her up while Theodore smiled nodding and took his seat without looking at Jenny face as he enjoyed his burger……………

They finally arrived which reservations were made for the students to lay their head, the Hod came out to address them before they retired to their different rooms.
“Welcome once again everyone I’m so glad we arrived safely.
You don’t need to fear, the environment here is serene and safe with so many fun to catch and so many things to Learn. I did my very best to bring out the superb and the best choice for us and make sure our stay here is enjoyable, I hope you like it? He asked..
“Yes sir, they replied.
“That’s good. Tomorrow we will begin and you all need to wear your overalls and boots because of the boggy environment especially when we will set into the forest……… “Sorry sir, did you just say Forest? A student asked scared.
“And sir why forest? We are not here for the study of mycology or botany right? Another student asked..
“Uhmmm I see, but have you forgotten that parasites are also found in animals, and doesn’t the forest harbour this animals who is the host for the parasites? What about the soil and water bodies, are parasites not found also?
There Is a steam spring and a stream around here which we are going to visit also, don’t be scared of the word forest its totally safe.
Not only that, we will set into the neighbourhood to see things for ourselves, don’t worry when we begin tomorrow you’ll see for yourselves what I am trying to explain, the Hod replied.

“Definitely sir, the student replied and went in.

“Its nothing, let’s go to our room first, Jenny replied.
They were showed their rooms which was arranged like a dormitory, as usual Joy choose a bed beside Jennifer.
“Its not bad, at least its spacious and airy, I must recommend the Hod for a good job, Joy said and Jenny nodded and drew up her trouser from the leg and the red spot was boldly there.
“You broke your leg? Joy asker.
“No I didn’t, I just had a little sprain, Jenny replied.
“And you didn’t tell anybody? You call it little when it affected your walking steps, Joy said and a student called up Jennifer, “you’re needed outside, she said.
“By who? Joy asked.
“Don’t worry I’ll check it out, Jenny cut in and covered her leg to see Theodore standing with his hand folded.
“What are you doing here? She asked.
“Good question, all thanks to the Hod for giving me a careless and lazy partner for such a responsibility, Theodore replied and she quickly remembered.
She went in saying nothing to him, “where are you going to? Joy asked when she saw Jenny changing up.
“I need to do something okay, I’ll be back, Jenny replied when she was done and Left to see Theodore still outside.
She sighed and passed him and he noticed the way she walked as he followed behind her.
“Where were you Jennifer? The Hod asked when they arrived.
“Sorry sir I wanted to change up first, I felt sticky with the clothes, she replied.
“You guys need to take Care of this things, I may be too busy to remember it please help me, The Hod said.
“Sure sir, Jenny said and he left while they took over from him..
Jennifer was having difficulties but she just have to pretend to avoid Theodore mocking her.
Soon Theodore was out of sight and she wondered where he went to leaving all of the work for her to do.
She continued with the work and tiredly sat down to rest and raised the trouser up again tying a kerchief on her ankle.
Immediately a hand held her and she raised her head to see Theodore looking at her, “where the hell did you go to? She asked.
“Just shut up and stop acting lazy, he replied and squatted with a little container in his hand.
“What’s this for? She asked but he ignored her question and untied the kerchief from her leg, “Next time you are hurt, try to open your mouth and ask for help. You kept walking like a turkey that is sick and it irritates me more, he said rubbing the smashed leaves he got from the bush on her while she was quiet not believing her eyes.
“Don’t leave this place for now, Theodore said and kept the container for her and left to continue from where she stopped.
Jennifer couldn’t help but smile as she sat down watching him do the work but then she remembered his words in the truck and her mood changed.
She angrily stood up and left the place, ‘hey what are you doing? Theodore shouted.
“F**k you with your herbs, did I ask for your help? Try to put your effort where it will be more appreciated okay, Jenny said.
“Here she is putting meaning into a little help I am offering, I earlier helped you to the truck and you behaved like I touched you intimately. I left you to do it on your own and this is what you got, you should be grateful I cared at least, Theodore replied.
“Your myopic reasoning is quite pathetic if you think I can fall or accept a guy like you. When will you accept the fact when I say your attitude and everything sucks? I scent it on the first day I met you and Yuh are absolutely no guy a reasonable girl can dream to have. Now listen, if you really want this research to go down good, stay clear from me! Jennifer said and left while he just stood looking at her.
Jennifer went back and told Joy everything Theodore said to her in the truck,
“He said that to you? Whats he feeling like by the way if he thinks every girl must have a crush on him, Joy said.
“I feel so bittered now about him, and what I don’t understand is why he bothered himself to get me herbs when he’s the cause of all this, Jenny said.
“I’ll get an ointment for you, Joy said.
“Where will you see that? Jenny asked.
“Just wait here, I just have to ask first, Joy said and left………………….
“Theodore and Jennifer are partners? Who did that! Natasha shouted when she got to know about it.
“I don’t understand, I thought you wanted this too? but why are you feeling jealous now? Lydia asked.
“Not this way Lydia and I have every right to be jealous when I am not there. look I won’t see them for one good week, I wanted to see their every move and know where to strike, she replied.
“But they will still get back, then you can carry out your plans on them, Lydia said.
“Do you think they will fall in love with themselves? I see Jennifer kind of tough considering the way she has acted with him in school, Natasha said.
“I really don’t know, but I have an insider there, she can help us if you want, Lydia replied.
“You mean to monitor them for me and make their stay more sweet right? Natasha asked laughing.
“Absolutely, she Hates Jennifer too and she’ll do a good job, Lydia replied.
“What are you waiting for? Call her up and let’s know what’s going on, Natasha said……….

“I think you should find out what her problem really is, Gladys said and left.

“Nothing, she replied and concentrated with what she was doing.
“Hi Gladys, Mabel approached her as she sat down somewhere.
“Good evening, Gladys replied..
“Evening dear, you know me right? Mabel asked.
“I don’t think so but I know you’re my senior, she replied.
“Yea thats true, am in the finals but I thought the Hod once said everyone is equal here right? Mabel asked and Gladys nodded.
“That’s right, please sit down, Gladys said adjusting for her.

“It’s not Jennifer actually but her friend Joy, she replied.
“Yea right, are you that close to her? Mabel asked.

“Then I don’t think you will have Thompson, you love him don’t you? Mabel asked and Gladys stopped.
“Thompson has nothing to do with this and bringing him into this matter is just awkward, Gladys replied and Mabel smiled getting up from where she sat.
“He is my cousin and you know what means, I can take him away from you if I want to. When you change your mind, you know where to find me okay, Mabel said and left while Gladys looked at her confused.
Gladys slowly went back to where Jennifer and Joy sat, “Hey, I apologize about Joy attitude okay, you don’t need to be that angry, Jenny said to her.

“I fell from the truck, Jenny replied.
“Was Theodore not there to help? Gladys replied.
“Why are you asking all of this? Joy asked.
“Why won’t I? Is Theodore not her partner and were we not suppose to be with our partners? Gladys replied back.
“Theodore was there okay but I didn’t need his help, now change the discussion, Jenny said.
“If you say so, Gladys said and her phone beeped with a message from Thompson, “meet Me at the hibiscus flower”.
“OK girls I need to go see my boyfriend, we’ll talk later, Gladys said and hurried off while Joy rolled her eyes.
“Joy I understand that face, is there anything you’re not telling me? Jenny asked.
‘Nothing, Joy replied.
“Don’t lie to me, Jenny insisted.
“OK fine I wanted Thompson, Joy replied and Jenny heaved.
“Is that why you’re giving Gladys attitudes? I don’t like that, Jenny said.
“But I…….. “He loves Gladys now get over it. Must you hate her because of that? Their love story started being partners which Gladys had nothing to do with it, now I want you to stop this immediately and forget about him. “Be in the store room for investigation before going to sleep” Jennifer read and wondered who sent it.

Gladys went there and saw Mabel and Thompson together, “Hi dear, Thompson said giving her a peck.
“Who is she? Gladys whispered.
“Oh she? She’s my cousin, the one I told you about. Mabel meet Gladys, Thompson introduced.
“Nice to meet you and i hope you’ll make a good girlfriend else I’ll take him away from you, Mabel said smiling as she shook Gladys hand.
“Oh yea sure, nice to meet you too, Gladys replied breathing hard.
“Alright dear i just wanted to see you before i go bed, we’ll talk tomorrow okay, goodnight, Thompson said giving her a hug and wanted leaving with Mabel.
“Can i have a word with you Mabel? Gladys stopped her.
“Yea, Thompson I’ll see you later okay, Mabel said.
“Alright bye, Thompson said and left and Mabel faced Gladys.
“I understand what you are trying to do and yes you’ve proved you’re truly Thompson cousin, but i want to know why you are asking me to do this, Gladys said.
“Its simple, is just for Natasha that’s all, Mabel replied.
“The campus model? But what for? Gladys asked.
“Safe me your inquisitiveness and do what I am asking you to do, Mabel replied and she nodded.
“Fine, Jennifer right now has a sprain which she got from falling off the truck, Gladys said.

“I finally got her friend Gladys, Mabel called up Natasha.

Jennifer checked her time and yawned, “I need to go girls, Jenny said getting up.
“To where? Gladys asked.
“I have to check out the store house before I sleep, its I and Theodore’s work, Jenny replied and gave Joy her phone.
“Keep it safe for me okay, She said to her.
“OK bye, Gladys said and Jenny left.
Jenny got into the store and saw Theodore already there, “when you enjoy the comfort of your bed, remember we have a responsibility, Theodore said not looking at her.
“We? I thought you’re a superman who can do everything on his own, You should be grateful am keeping off since you can’t stand my presence, Jenny replied and Theodore smiled.
“You’re absolutely right, and thanks for taking your sick presence out of my sight, you’re such a life saver, Theodore said and scoffed.
“Wow in summary my presence takes your breathe away right? I can’t wait to see you gasping for air then, Jennifer said and Theodore smiled going close to her.
“When I see the girl that takes my breathe away, it feels romantic and I love it, but in your case you’re choking, your personality pisses people off and you know it, Theodore said.
“It pisses gullible people like you who can’t stand my personality, so don’t blame me my personality doesn’t just match your type! Jennifer smiled and walked away from him to do what she came for……………..
Gladys’s quickly texted Mabel “Jenny just left now to investigate the store room with Theodore”.
Mabel saw it and wondered what to do, she left to the store house and saw them together, she went closer and locked the door outside and left.
Jennifer was done and wanted leaving but noticed the door couldn’t open, she struggled with the door and Theodore went nearer and confirmed it locked.
“How could you be this stupid! Why did you leave the key outside the door! Theodore shouted on her.
“How is that my fault? You left the key outside yourself, Jennifer replied.
“I left it there so you will open up when you arrive, you should have put it back inside Numbskull! Theodore shouted……………….

“What are we going to do now? Jennifer asked.
“Are you asking me that? Sh*t! I left my phone with Daniel, Theodore said searching his pocket.
“Me too I left mine with Joy, Jennifer said and weakly sat down somewhere while Theodore tried opening the door.
“Someone did this on purpose, the door is locked outside, Theodore said.
“But that’s wickedness, why should anyone do that? Jenny asked.
“I don’t know, but all I know is the power of this place will be turned off very soon to avoid intruders from knowing what’s in here, Theodore said.
The thought of hearing the lights will be turned off soon made Jennifer scared when her greatest enemy is darkness.
“You mean we are going to be in darkness? Jenny asked.
“Simple and short, Theodore replied and sat down while Jenny heaved and leaned her head on the wall.
Theodore looked at her for a while and saw the sad look on her face, “I’m sorry, he gently said.
“For what? She asked.
“For shouting on you, he replied.
“Really? Its not the first time you’ve shout on Me but calling me a Numbskull is the first, she replied.
“I won’t apologize for that because its the truth, he said and she nodded.
“Then don’t bother to apologize you can eat it, she said and turned her face the other side.
Few minutes later the lights went off and Jennifer was so scared as she looked around not sure of where Theodore is.
Theodore noticed that and began giving some scary sounds with his mouth and with things around him..
“Theodore, Theodore where are you? Jennifer said afraid and stood up but couldn’t see anything.
Theodore tried controlling his laughter and gave another scary sound that made Jennifer screamed and fell on something.
Theodore was with a small torch and he quickly put it on to see what Jennifer fell on.
He saw Jennifer on the floor holding her leg and he went to her,
“I’m sorry I didn’t know it will get to this, Theodore said.
“Get your hands off me bastard! Jennifer shouted with tears streaming down her face.
Theodore heaved and weighed the torch somewhere, came back and carried her from the floor while she kept hitting him to keep her down.
“What the hell is your problem Jennifer? You called on me to help you right? Now why are pushing me away? He asked.
“Its your fault, you caused this so stop playing nice okay, Jenny said.
“Fine I apologize, I didn’t know you’ll be this scared, now can I see your leg? Theodore asked but she sniffed without saying nothing.
He raised a bit of her trousers up and saw she hit the place again.
“Did you apply an ointment on this? He asked.
“Joy did, she replied.
“You should have accepted my treatment, I wonder why you refused it, Theodore said.
“That’s because such treatment won’t work when its coming from a person like you, Jenny replied and he smiled.
“You think so? He asked but Jenny only sniffed.
“I wish I can go out now, I would have get something to ease the pain, Theodore said.
“Who taught you that? Jenny asked.
“My mom, he replied.
“Where is she? She asked.
“Somewhere married to another person, he replied and Jenny heaved.
Theodore stood up from where he squatted to examine Jenny legs and Jenny suddenly got scared.
“Where are you going to? She asked.
“To sit down somewhere, he replied.
“Can’t you sit here? Please I promise I won’t give you trouble, Jenny pleaded and he laughed sitting down beside her.
“Are you this scared of darkness? Theodore asked and she nodded.
“So tough people do have their weakness huh, Theodore said nodding.
“What makes you think am tough? She asked.
“What makes you think am rude? He asked back.
“Yours is so obvious and that’s the truth, Jennifer said and he nodded.
“You think so? Unfortunately something happened that very first day we met which resulted to that attitude, I guess it was a transfer of aggression and it fell on a wrong and tedious person, Theodore said and Jennifer smiled.
“Tedious person indeed, so you had to follow up the aggression on me right? She asked.
“I don’t know, maybe we were meant to be cat and dog and I kind of enjoy the different treatment you do give me, Theodore replied.
“Interesting, Jennifer said and they heard footsteps coming.
“I think someone is heading this way, Theodore said and stood up going to the door.
“Theodore! They heard Daniel voice.
“Hey man open up this door quick! Theodore replied inside.
“What happened? Daniel asked coming closer.
“Have you noticed any key outside? We were locked in here by someone, Theodore replied and Daniel looked around him,
“Here’s the key, Daniel said seeing it beside the door and opened up.
“Ahhhh thank you so much, Theodore said shaking hands with him.
“You were locked up here alone? Daniel asked.
“No I and Jennifer, please stay with her I’ll be back, Theodore said and hurried off while Daniel got in and met Jennifer sitting on the floor.
“Hey thanks for coming to our rescue, Jenny said.
“Sorry I disrupted something, Daniel said smiling.
“Disrupted something? Nah not at all, I really want to leave this place. By the way where’s Theodore? Jenny asked.
“He hurried off just like that, I don’t know why, Daniel said.
“This late and are we going to wait for him? Jenny asked.
“Sure, what happened to your leg? Daniel asked.
“Ermmm its a little sprain, Jenny replied while Daniel looked at it carefully.
‘This isn’t little, now i see why Theodore hurried off, Daniel said and Jennifer remembered something.
“Has he gone to get me herbs? Jenny asked.
“That’s Theodore for you and I wonder why you two fight with each other in every opportunity. Hey I hope you two didn’t fight in here? Daniel asked.
“But he’s annoying, Jenny said.
“Every human is annoying, but he gat that part of him that is sweet and loving, that makes me stick to him like a glue, Daniel replied.
“Are you his brother? Jenny asker.
“Me? Not at all, we met in school here. At first i didn’t like the school and I was the greatest dummy ever in the whole world. I wonder how I got the admission but surprisedly my parents did all they could and I found myself here. I was always pissed off by student, there in the hostel my things will be snatched and i won’t do anything about it.
My dullness and foolishness made everyone make fun of me, then Theodore came around and changed everything. He made me his best friend, took me out of the hostel to his house, drew me close as his very blood and wrote a new chapter of Daniel.
I am what I am today because of him and guess what, he never bragged about any of this to anybody. We can fight and have a misunderstanding with ourselves but he will never bring this up to hurt me, he made me part of his family. So you see Jennifer, Theodore isn’t just what you think he is okay, please stop fighting with him, Daniel said and Jenny smiled.
“I’ll think about it, Jenny replied and they laughed.
“Laughing about me right? Theodore said coming in rubbing herbs between his hands.
“I knew it, you left to get herbs for her this late, how sweet, Daniel said getting up from where he sat beside Jenny and Theodore shook his head.
“Daniel shut up, Theo replied.
“Apply it gently okay and make sure it doesn’t hurt her, Daniel said but Theo only smiled rubbing it on Jennifer legs.
“It will ease the pains okay. Can you stand? Theodore asked her when he was done.
“How can she stand with that? She’ll stress her leg and the drug won’t work anymore, Daniel replied.
“Don’t worry i can manage, Jenny said and attempted to get up but Theodore carried her in his arms.
“Daniel lock the door and give me the keys, Theodore said leaving the store while Jennifer couldn’t believe her eyes.
Daniel tried controlling his laugh as he saw that, “be careful with her okay, Daniel said locking the door happily………………..

Mabel was just around to see what will happened, when she saw Theodore carrying Jennifer to her quarters, she quickly called up Natasha.
“Can’t it wait till morning? Natasha picked the call with a sleeping eyes.
“Theodore just carried Jennifer up like a baby, Mabel dropped and Natasha quickly sat up.
“Theodore carried Jennifer up? Impossible! Natasha shouted.
“What’s wrong with you? What exactly do you want? Mabel angrily asked and Natasha closed her eyes tight.
“Good development, continue with it okay, looks like I have to dig up my plans and make it thick. Bye, Natasha said and dropped the call.
Mabel left to her quarters and met Gladys outside, “what’s the problem? Mabel asked.
“What did you do to Jennifer? She’s not back yet, Gladys said.
“Silly girl, Theodore just dropped her off, Mabel replied.
“What! What led to that? In fact I can’t continue in this anymore and am backing out, Gladys said and Mabel smiled.
“Did you know the little information you gave to me made Jennifer and Theodore close. I just want to see them fall in love and stop fighting okay, is that a bad motive? I thought she’s your friend but you can’t do this one simple thing to make her happy, excuse me, Mabel said and got into her quarters while Gladys heaved pacing around confused………………….
The next morning Jennifer heard a tap and opened her eyes to see Joy, “its morning already? Jenny asked cleaning her eyes.
“I am just wondering when you came back yesterday when I was awake waiting for you, Joy replied.
“I didn’t want to wake you up but I came back late. Are we to take our bath now? Jenny asked.
“Yea. and here is your phone, your mom called, Joy said returning her phone.
“I’ll call her back then, thank you, Jennifer said and got set to take her bath………………
Jennifer dressed in her overalls went out and saw Theodore with his friends talking and she slowly approached them, “good morning all, she greeted.
“Good morning, they replied.
“Have you checked out the…… Jennifer said using eye contact on Theodore.
‘Not yet, how’s your leg? Theo asked.
“Ermmm the pains was reduced and I don’t think I walk like a sick turkey anymore, Jenny replied and Theodore smiled and squatted to check her leg.
The student there was surprised to see that and Jennifer noticed the gazes on her and felt like fainting.
“You applied an ointment? Theodore asked getting up.
“Joy insisted to, she replied.
“No problem, so can we go now? Theodore asked and she nodded.
“OK guys see you later, Theo said to his friends.
“Bye Daniel, Jenny said waving at him..
“Bye first lady, Daniel replied winking at her.
The store room is quite distanced from the student hostel, “can you please stop squatting like that in public so tongues won’t wag, Jenny said to him as they were going.
“I can do that to anybody, I don’t see anything wrong with it, he replied.
“Your students, you know how they behave. I am tired of seeing myself on net, Jenny said and Theodore burst out laughing.
“My students like I have the school huh? And I thought you were enjoying all of it, Theo said.
“What! Hell no please, Jenny replied.
“OK, looks like I’ll apply the herbs here so they won’t see it, agreed? Theo asked.
“Better and Thank you, Jenny said.
“You’re welcome at least you won’t look like a sick turkey anymore, Theodore said smiling while Jennifer only nodded and they arrived……………….
Few minutes later the Hod arrived and gave every student hand gloves, and every partner he gave a container to put in their samples. He also gave some guys shovels and they set into the bush.
“Today we won’t be doing too much but I’ll just talk about Helminths. I hope you all know helminths are worms and worms are cylindrical organisms with a head and a tail, The Hod said and got a shovel from one of the student digging a particular area showing them the different sizes of worms.
“They differ in size as you can see but there are parasitic helminths which can be divided into several groups including the nematodes and trematodes. Now if I should ask, what are trematodes in a simple sentence? The Hod asked.
“Flat worms, the students chorused.
“Or otherwise called? The Hod asked.
“Flukes, Jennifer replied.
“Beautiful. Now there are conditions that promotes fluke transmission and that is the presence of slow running streams and also presence of stagnant water surrounded with vegetation etc.
There is a slow running stream up there, let’s go check it out, the Hod said leading the way……………….
A brief lecture was done there and samples were gotten to be experimented on. “I think we are done here for today, the Hod summarized.
“Sir can we have a little swim here please? A student asked.
“The water have not been tested to be safe okay, The Hod replied.
“But Sir we are dirty, the students chorused.
“You know what, we will be entering the neighborhood to see what’s going on there. When we are done I’ll take you to a safe and nice stream to clean up, the Hod said.
“Okay sir, the students replied and he led them out.
They saw a group of villagers roasting crabs with the carapace.
“The carapace of a crabs can be a host for most parasites to live on. When a parasite has already invaded a crab and its being caught and roasted this way with it, as they eat this crab, the parasite goes into the human system and began to complete its life cycle. OK I want you all to go talk to them and hear the reason why the crabs are being roasted with the carapace, if possible get a sample from them. You have 15 minutes for that, the Hod said and every partner went away to have a little chat with the villagers………….
The students were later taken to a stream where they happily fell into it.
Jennifer couldn’t go into it because of the medication on her leg, she only washed her face, hands and legs and sat down looking at the students having fun. She later got bored and went in to sit at a rock
“Scared of water too right? Jennifer heard a voice and turned to see Theodore with a wet body.
“You wish, its because of the medication, she replied and he looked at it.
“Its worn off already, don’t worry I’ll apply another, Theodore said dragging her up.
“No i don’t want to, Jennifer said.
“If you don’t I’ll carry you now and you know what that means, Theodore said.
“I can’t go in there with my clothes on, Jenny replied.
“then take it off, Theo said and smiled when he saw how she behaved.
“I see someone is shy, don’t worry I’ll turn my back, Theodore said and turned his back for Jennifer to change up.
“Done, Jennifer said and he turned back and was almost thrown off balance.
“Well then let’s go, Theo said holding her hand taking her out of the bush.
“We will be jumping in at the count of 5, please give us a little space, Theodore shouted and the students cheered at them.
“Are you ready? He asked Jennifer which she nodded but the students has already start counting for them……………….
Done swimming Jennifer came out wet laughing happily, “I’ll catch cold now, she said.
“Ermmm OK use this, Theodore said covering her with his jacket.
“Thank you, Jennifer said.
“Alright hurry up the Hod wants to see you guys in the hostel, a man said shouting on the students.
They arrived at the hostel and everyone retired to their different rooms, “God please touch the Hod to do this every month, Joy happily said.
“Uhmmm I saw you and Daniel together, I hope its not what am thinking, Jenny said winking at her.
“Keep thinking Jenny, you and Theodore are becoming romantic, Joy replied smiling at her.
“Hey we are just tired of being enemies okay, nothing serious, Jenny said.
“OK then, but can you please take off His jacket from your body or are you still feeling cold? Joy asked and Jenny burst out laughing.
“You’re crazy, Jenny said smiling at the Jacket while Joy just looked at her.
“You find him cool right? Joy asked Clinging on her back.
“I never knew he was this cool, Jenny replied and a beep came on her phone.
“Miss can I still apply the herbs before we set off to check the store room? Am outside” Jennifer read and smiled getting up.
“I’ll be back, Jenny say to Joy.
“Hey please don’t let this love make me feel lonely, Joy said with a frown.
“Call Daniel up or better still your loving Partner, Jenny said Laughing going out.
“By the way you look sexy on that shorts, Joy shouted.
“Silly girl, Jenny replied as she closed the door.
“I hope that silly wasn’t for me? Theodore asked coming out from a corner and Jenny giggled.
“Its for Joy anyway, she loves pulling my legs, Jenny replied as they strolled to the store room……………

It’s five days gone at the camp, Jennifer and Theodore became so close that the students began to wonder if they are couples already.
One afternoon they sat writing their report and Theodore remembered something,
“Jenny I want to ask a question and I hope you won’t feel bad, Theo said.
“OK what is it? Jenny asked.
“Why were you rusticated from your previous school? I mean whatever caused that must be a serious thing and I want to know, Theodore asked and Jenny mood changed.
‘Nothing happened, it just that I didn’t meet up in my department maybe so I had to leave, Jenny replied.
“We are know that lie didn’t go well and I think you don’t want me to know, Theo said.
“Can we not talk about this please? Jenny asked.
“No problem and sorry for asking, Theo said.
“Hey what’s up! Daniel shouted and fell on Theodore back.
“Watch it man before you break this, Theodore said and Jenny shifted the microscope away.
“Whatever, so are you done with your reports? You know we just have tomorrow here, Daniel said.
“Almost done, but we are not to submit it here right? Jenny asked.
“Yea but most of the work will be done here. You know we have to resume with other lectures when once we get back, Daniel replied.
“OK sir as you can see we are working on ours, now go do yours and leave someone else partner, Theo said.
“Sure I will, bye, Daniel said and ran off……………..
The students were already dressed up with their bags parked and prepared to leave, somehow everyone missed the fun and wished to come back someday.
The school buses arrived and everyone got in,
“I think we are going back to our truck, Jenny said.
“Nope the Hod already has someone there, Theodore replied and the Hod was seen coming.
“Are you guys done? The hod asked them.
“Yes sir, they replied.
“OK come in, you’ll be driving with me, The man said getting into his car while they happily dropped in their bags and hopped in…………….
“I heard the b***h love story has really blossomed, I can’t wait to welcome her back with open arms, Natasha said in school.
“They are on their way coming back by now, so what next? Lydia asked.
“Leave that to me, Natasha said giving a wicked smile……………….
Few hours later Theodore’s father came and welcomed them when they arrived,
“I’ve missed you guys so much, he said hugging both Theo and Daniel.
“Yea we relieved you of your headaches right? Theo asked.

“Very fine thank you sir, she replied.
“I’ll drop you off then you must be very tired, please hop in, Theo father said.
“See you tomorrow, Joy said hugging Jenny and shyly Waved at Daniel who threw a kiss for her on the air and the car took off.
They arrived at Jenny place and she came out thanking then, “see you tomorrow Jenny! Daniel shouted while she laughed waving at them and Treasure and Annabel screamed running out to meet her.

“Oh my God I think that place wasn’t bad, you’re looking so good, Annabel said.

“So how did your troublesome partner treat you because I can see you with all smiles, Treasure said settled to hear it all while jenny was just laughing.
“Please I need to shower, Jenny said getting up.

“OK OK, Theodore and I are friends now, no more fighting and quarreling is that okay? Jenny asked and they jumped up shouting .

“Now where is she? I’ll be in my room, Theo said angrily and went in while his father heaved.
“Will he ever forgive his mom? He doesn’t want to set his eyes on her which is not good at all, Daniel said.
“His anger won’t change what has already happened, go shower up okay, Kennedy said tapping him and Daniel left for his room…………….
“Lest I forget babe the school model contest is out and we are to register online, Annabel said.
“OK good for the contestants, Jenny replied not concerned.

The next day Jennifer arrived school and saw Theodore coming out from his car, “hi good morning, Theo greeted.
“Good morning, finally we are back to school, Jenny replied.

“Where is Daniel? Jenny asked.
“Oh him? I ran away and left him at home, He will find his way down here, Theo replied and they laughed together.
“You will get it hot from him when he gets here, you should know him, Jenny said as they strolled together.
“Sure and by then I’ll hide myself, the guy is just full of trouble, Theo replied and Natasha approached them.
“Awwwnn the school is now full and lively. Welcome back darling, Natasha said giving him a peck while Theodore stood like a stick.
“Ermmm we will see later, bye, Jenny said waving at him and left.
“So how was the trip? I tried calling your number but it wasn’t reachable why was that? Natasha asked.
“Can you drop this now? I have a class to attend, Theo replied.
“Common Theo you won’t even talk to me after one week of not seeing each other? Natasha asked.

Going out of the hall she met with Theodore who got surprised with her mood, “hey I think I just have to leave now before there will be a transfer of aggression, Theo said.

Unknown to them Lydia was just monitoring them both and reached out to Natasha immediately, ‘Mabel is right, the both are now in close and good terms, Lydia said.

“Is she dropping out from the contesting stuff? Natasha asked.
“She keeps saying she’s not interested and she didn’t enroll for it, Lydia replied.
“She must continue with it, I will talk to the director not to take off her name no matter what, Natasha said.
“Then she’ll be standing against you which I know she will, now what’s your plan? Lydia asked.
“My plans are getting more interesting now the idiots are almost in love with themselves, Natasha replied.
“Just be careful okay, no one must know you did this, Lydia said.

Jenny and Theodore went to the cafeteria when Jenny complained of being hungry, “so what can I get for you? Theo asked.

Damian got into the cafeteria and sighted Jennifer sitting alone, he slowly went behind her and blindfolded her, “Theo stop it, Jenny said and Damian couldn’t believe it.

“Damian? I didn’t know it is you, Jenny said as he sat down opposite her.
“Is Theodore your boyfriend? He asked.

“Friends you say huh? Look Jenny please don’t do this, he’s not good for you. I know the whole girls in school crushes on him and I thought you were different, its quite disappointing you’re going on the same path, Damian said holding Jennifer which she looked confused.

“Do I have a choice? Common Jenny I can smell it, am no fool, Damian said and Theodore who was on call which delayed him sighted them and dropped the call immediately.
He approached them, “what’s going on here? Theodore asked and Damian angrily looked at him..

“Stop it! Jennifer said holding him.
“You want her huh? You’ve finally made her fall for your tricky ways as you’ve always do! Damian shouted while Jennifer held on Theodore stopping him from fighting back.

“Good for you then, you’re just like the others! Damian shouted and left the Cafe.
“I’m sorry about that okay, Jenny said to Theodore as he was breathing hard already but he walked away from her saying nothing.
Jennifer sat down confused not knowing what to do as the students watched the play happily…………………
“Why must Jennifer be the only reason to bring embarrassment to me? Theo asked as he told Daniel everything.
“I can’t still believe that idiot did that. I knew it, I suspected he wanted Jennifer and I saw his moves. He’s just so pained seeing Jennifer with you together, Daniel replied.
“Do you think we look like couple? Theo asked.
“Soon to be couples, Daniel replied rolling his eyes and Theo shook his head.
“I don’t love Jennifer and I feel nothing for her okay, Theo said and Daniel shook.
“Hello! You just blew a fatal lie here now. Keep lying to yourself when its written all over you, gosh you’re so unbelievable! Daniel shouted.
“I see my kind gesture with her is giving people wrong meanings already, I just have to withdraw now before it gets too late, Theo said.
“You must be joking Theodore. so Damian can make you this stupid huh? Daniel asked.
