On Wednesday, Asinobi gave a speech in Kano at the association's Scientific Conference and Annual General Meeting. She thought that the conference, whose theme was "Current Concepts in Acute Kidney Injury Prevention and Management," was appropriate and aimed at lowering the country's disease burden. She claims that members of the association from all over Nigeria gathered in Kano to discuss current trends in the treatment and prevention of kidney disease and injury. She said that because managing chronic kidney disease requires a lot of money and is out of reach for people with low or middle incomes, stakeholders need to work together to ease the burden. She stated, "We have a huge burden of acute kidney disease, and it is becoming more common as countries around the world cannot afford to treat it." As a result, Asinobi demanded that the government provide equipment for the treatment of kidney diseases in healthcare facilities and urged business organizations and stakeholders to contribute as well. She also advocated for kidney care to be included in the National Health Insurance Scheme to alleviate the patient's financial burden. The use of therapies for continuous renal replacement in developing nations, chronic kidney disease of unknown origin, and pregnancy-related acute kidney injury are additional subthemes of the conference.
